what i never understood was that sometimes when not in gamesprite mode, Matrix's icon goes back to the normal black and white colors after he's rebooted, while Bob's is always black and yellow. There's also little Enzo Matrix's black and red icon. I'm trying to make pins of all the icons that are in the series, such as all the ones that are talked about and a few extras like hack & slash and even cecil's, so if anyone has a straight closeup of any of the unique icons please post a link. I already have the guardian, normal, and infected icons though.
There is also the icon that Back-up has, the sprite from the first system we see Matrix and AndrAIa visit. It was round, split down the middle, black on the left, white the right, with a white triangle on the left and a black triangle on the right side.
It's the only character who has this icon, as far as I know. Anyone know what it might mean? He's also a strange looking Sprite... almost more like Phong than the normal humanoid sprites.
Also, Phong's icon is different as well. Round, split horizontally with a wave (like a ying yang) with a circle on the top half and the bottom half.
AndrAIa's icon looks different than Matrix's does when he is in game sprite mode. Her icon has AI in the centre. I guess it's different if you're really a game sprite or if you're only in game sprite mode.
I always saw the icons with dark on top to be the civilian icons, and when in different modes, roles can change.
Examples are Dot as Command.com, in armor, most of the time in general, etc. has black on bottom. Guardian Bob has black on bottom. Enzo has black on top (I don't recall if it flipped when he became a cadet). Lt. Chauncy's icon is black on bottom, meaning he's a high ranking official in the armed forces. This may also mean he was a lieutenant before he was infected. For Cyrus, did his icon flip after he became Lt. Cyrus in the reality distortion during Talent Night?
If all this is accurate, then the flipped icon is for non-civilians.
