I would like it if they kept the original cast. Maybe update their looks. The movie Serenity kept the cast and was a box office success.
Batman has been reBooted hundreds of times, but overall the characters and their stories have changed a little or at least is still recognizable to the old fans. The extreme change like Batgirl becoming the Oracle was shocking but she was still in character.
I don't want a total overhaul. I still want the cast intact, but I want the strengths of the story and Characters to be updated and highlighted.
Maybe they should show Enzo being a teen. I would love to see how he is different from Matrix. Maybe have a virus for a girlfriend.
ReBoot was always aimed for the teen-scene (At least from season 2 on since Mainframe went with Cartoon Network). It'll be intresting to see how they communicate with the contemporary teen audience.
Generally, i'm open-minded to it. They could have a completely new cast and setting, but as long as the story is strong and it feels like ReBoot, i'll be happy.
I don't believe Hex would scare children. I started watching ReBoot when I was about 8 or 9 and I actually found Hex quite funny at times. Besides, look at all the Tim Burton movies and how dark they are; the majority of his work is for children. (I'm not bashing Tim Burton).
I agree that they should keep as much of the "look" of the original series. Bob needs to be blue, Dot and Enzo green, Mouse needs purple skin, orange hair and fangs, and AndrAIa should stay completely the same. "If it isn't broken, don't fix it."
As much as ReBoot was loved while it was still aired I truely think there will be no problems with gaining new fans. Besides, nerds rule the world anyway. :)
I agree about Megabyte's voice, but we all know that him passing can't be helped, so that shouldn't pull any teeth. Btw, did anyone notice that Megabyte slightly resembled Kelsey Grammer?
Hack and Slash and Mike the T.V. need to be somewhere in the mix.
Oh gawd. D: Do NOT make Megabyte sound like Batman. Myself and everyone I knew made fun of that voice after watching the batman movie. Please try to keep it as close to Tony Jay as possible, Rainmaker, okay?
If anything Megabytes voice could be Christian Bales Batman voice, thatd be cool or some other version of it, Bobs voice needs to be the same, that goes for enzo matrix and dot and phong and many other origianl characters. Knowing that to make it successfull they have to change it, but i begg of them to not change it soo much that its completly no ReBoot anymore. Try to keep as much of it as Original as possible, i saw the Videoclip of the new ReBoot and the city looked alil differnet, and the gamecube looked nothing like it should, i think the city looked fine and the gamecube was amazing, PLEASE DONT CHANGE TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the cartoon and agree with most of what you all have to say, though, if Hex does come back I want it to be a smooth transition. I thought the ending to Season 4 Ep. 4 was beautiful, though it was sad.

Starting fresh with a new generation to the old world is just what we need to bring new people to love the world of ReBoot.
Ergo, giving a substantial market for releasing the original series
and ergo giving a good push to continue where the original left off.
