Maybe since it's so difficult they should go into the past of Reboot. There is an entire story there that I believe the fans would all love.

srsly. There's only so much fanart/fanfiction that the fans can come up with.

I think in order to get the ReBoot world down, Gavin needs to be involved somewhat.

What I would really want to avoid is someone coming out of the movie theater and saying it was like Tron.

ReBoot is not Tron. We want to avoid this.

I feel that Gavin and Ian shouldn't be involved at this point.

I feel the movie will flop if it's a direct continuation of Series 4. WHY? Because only fans will watch the movie. If a non fan saw the movie, s/he would be like "WTF is going on?". I feel Gavin and Ian should only be involved if they are continuing Season 4.

I think that ReBoot should be Reintroduced for this one to try and get new fans to get into the series. THEN the boxset release, then (if both are sucessful), BRING ON THE HUNT!!!!!!

Or, we could start the Hunt to reintroduce fans (but in the sense of Terminator Salvation)

i agree that the film could still be a success without Gavin and Ian, but in order to secure the faith of the fans into this project it would be best if they were a part of it. Gavin and Ian have made Reboot what it is today. In a way, they have grown with the characters themselves. I think they are the only ones who will be able to pull it off without a hitch and make an amazing film.

Hear, hear! Involvement and consultation is vital, I think to keep Reboot as Reboot and not some pet project to completely re-invent Reboot. I'm all for tweaks, surprises, new characters, and changes but Reboot was a success for us as it was because of some of its basic elements. The humour and the original characters need to remain intact - let us not do to Reboot what was done to shows of the 80's like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...:S

I think that it CAN be done without them (the creators/writers, not the VA's those need to be in), but it would be FANTASTIC if they were in.
And let's face it- we need this film to be fantastic. It needs to be Reboot at it's best, so it can get better reviews, more people going to see it, more chance of a second film. It needs to have the same feel to it and still go into new ground.

I liked Ian Corlett, he was a more mature Bob that fit well.

So more Gavin and Ian please!

Yeah, I have to agree with you there. I prefer Bob sounding like he did as GlitchBob, it seemed like a perfect balance of funny, likable Bob but still mature at times.

Giga-dittos to all the above. How about securing original voice actors as well. They ask us what made Bob the character we know and love and I answer "It was Benyaer!". Ian James Corlett did a valiant job, but season 4 didn't feel like ReBoot until Michael Benyaer returned. AFAIK Tony Jay, God rest his soul, is the only VA who cannot return. So, fine; reboot ReBoot, but bring back the voice actors!!

Hear hear! But I do think Ian Corlett was a fine GlitchBob, better for the grittier third season. With the return of Michael Benyaer, it felt more like classic, fun ol' ReBoot, which was also great. Season 4 had a mix of the two types of ReBoot, I think...
