the thing with me that they might damage the Reboot image if Rainmaker screws up on the movie (if there will be one) and if they continue the season 4 cliffhanger that they will change reboot completly to "today's" kids rather than the 90's kids ( from my point of view us 90's kids had the BEST cartoons ;p )

Unfortunately we have to take into account the fact that there is no money to produce a 5th season because although there are a lot of fans, the amount they'd get back from us paying for a 5th season wouldn't be enough to warrant creating it. As with a movie, they would need financial backing of some sorts....i know it was in the works but you think that any decent CGI film takes many years to make. It would be nice to hear something from the creators though as since the comic the only news we had was about the DVD's and the site rarely gets updated.

The possible good news is, that if the movies are a success, then it's likely Rainmaker will be approached by many to pick back up the TV series. The question then will be - how true will they stay to Reboot, as it is with the Movie. Will it still be mostly our Reboot with some shiny new upgrades or will it be changed to connect with "today's" kids and audience?

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Though the idea of a ReBoot movie sounds absolutely kickasci, it makes more sense to end Season 4 first. Then they can make the three movies, and continue the show with another season if they so choose.

By re-airing all the older episodes, finishing the 4th season, THEN doing the movies, they wouldn't be alienating anyone- old fans or newcomers.

We don't only need a season 5 but also a continuation of season 4. The movie is an o.k. idea but it wont be able to cover as much as finishing season 4 and continuing to season 5. What I can't seem to grasp is why finish an awesome show with such a disgustingly huge cliffhanger.

I agree with this. I don't necessarily need the movies. I want season 5... I want to know what happens with Megabyte, and what happens with Bob and everyone else.

The TV series was great, a movie is epic but I think I'd be more thrilled for simply a reboot of the television series... and by reboot I mean that it just be continued on air.

I don't see why it still wouldn't be possible to produce a DTV Movie or something of the like just to finish off that nasty cliffhanger. I understand it's tricky to mass produce DVDs then make a profit selling them - especially to a franchise that bowed 8 years ago, but with an ever growing DTV market (Dead Like Me and Prison Break both had DTV movies come out this year - not to mention the four Futurama DVDDs that came out in the past year) it seems like such a project could be a reality if the cogs got turning.

Kind of ironic when you think about it. Mainframe was a studio that continued to make a name for itself (prior to it's Rainmaker conversion) for the creation of direct to video films. Yet, the one DTV we actually would DIE for them to make will likely never get made. Heh.

Hell - said DTV conclusion to the series could be packaged in with a hypothetical series boxset, effectively promoting each other.

If a season 1-4 box set was say 80 bucks, I might wait for it to come down a bit before purchase...but if you tossed that conclusion movie in I'd pay it in an instant....
