Ok I read the wiki, and it was because it was a pure Guardian code, and I remember Turbo saying that when He and Enzo met in the bar in the episode with no name. still no real "why"
Well here I am again. This is another odd thing I saw, I'm watching Infected (S2 EP1) Megabyte trys to infect Phong, he fails and Phong says You can't infect me virus, MB replies How true.
My question is if MB can't infect Phong, then why could Daemon? I believe since she is a super virus, probably just answered my own question but I thought it was interesting non the less.
megabyte is a regular virus, or maybe a half since he split from hex. deamon was a super virus, stronger then gigabyte.
a pure guardian code is immune to most infections. S1, EP4 the Medusa bug proofs this. deamon being a supervirus is super intelligent. therefore, she goes after all the guardians, with only bob and matrix left. both would have worked and i think it was matrix's since bob was close to fragmenting and deletion. enzo was actually the cure, curing matrix who cured hex.
From what I remember from the series is that, at some point, Turbo tells Matrix that the reason he's not infected is because he's "clean".
I deduced from the rest that Bob is the only Guardian who never went against his Guardian Code (never deleting, never hurting non-viral programs, etc.) whilst Turbo and other Guardians did (like ep. 22-23 "Trust No One" & "Web World Wars" where Turbo gives the order to destroy Mainframe).
Since Matrix had a Copy of the non-corrupted Code from Bob, he was protected from Daemon's influence (but not from direct contact) and Bob lost his immunity due to his Code being partially degraded.
Since Matrix had a perfect copy of Bob's Code insidehis PID, copying that Code directly into another sprite's programmed nullified the Daemon Code, curing the infection.
It's interesting that Guardians have the ability to go against their programming, to "choose" their own path, and that Bob simply doesn't want to.
