I second them trying to get jeremy irons for upcoming reboot things. you are very correct in that he would probably be the best replacement for Mr. Tony Jay. As for Capacitor, I don`t really know of thid john rhys davies, but I`ll take your word on it :P
Thanks a lot for your positive feedback. After I posted the topic, I was uber worried someone would take it the wrong way- like I was being insensitive toward the late actors. Phew!
I hate to be the guy to burst bubbles but
slow down buddy lol
All your suggestions are AMAZING and are very well chosen But there is one major issue and the that Issue is
**MONEY**
those are amazing actors you've chosen but thee is no way to possibly pay them unless rainmaker has VERY large and Deep pockets. I would love to see these actors play the roles but it couldn't happen we just have to Cross our fingers and anything else that can be crossed and hope rainmaker chooses the right people.
P.S
i've been a member for awhile but haven't posted or read much
(this thread caught my attention) so i thought it couldn't hurt to ask
has rainmaker announced when the re-launch is
Trust me, I understand what you mean. While Irons and Davies are high paid actors, they have done smaller projects before, and I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think they'd do something like this.
I really want to believe that Rainmaker is devoted to the show enough to cast the best talent they can get- original actors and new.
Agreed, Tim Curry would be AWESOME! One of the villians he played also looks kind of like Megabyte (the evil Kilokahn in Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, which involves a hero going inside electronic systems and fighting Megavirus Monsters)
Personally, I think David Kaye would do an excellent job as Megabyte - he played Megatron in 'Beast Wars' and 'Beast Machines' who is a similar character with a similarly sexy voice.
personally Ian James Corlett i do prefer the Glitch Bob hehe not to side track either but i also prefer Glitch Bob's Gear and his hair is better than the original but that's in my opinion
Hrm, well I'm inclined to go with Jim, he's an absolutely amazing voice actor, his range of voices allows him to practically do a one man show, Tigger, Pooh, the Cheshire Cat, Scar, Pete, and my personal favorite job of his Minsc, just as some examples that demonstrate his abilities. I think he'd make an excellent Megabyte. Naturally I wish the original voice actors for all the characters could be brought in, but I realize that won't be possible, nearly a decade has passed, there's no guarantee that even the actors who are still living will be capable of reprising their roles, due to numerous possible reasons. As long as they get some decent actors for the parts I'll be fairly content.

I agree on Jeremy Irons. Jay's voice, although irreplaceable, needs to be covered.
I loved Gavin (Capacitor) a lot, though his role in a movie is not so vital imo.

I don't remember Jeremy Irons voice, but Rhys Davies would be a good C.C.
I would like Tim Curry to play MB. He's played many villains over the years.

Now, I pose another question for everyone:
Who should voice Bob?
Michael Benyaer, the original Bob and the voice that the series left off with, or Ian James Corlett, the voice of Glitch Bob in Seasons 3 and 4?

While I don't think he would be the besgt hoice I just love the idea of Avery Brooks (Benjamin Sisko) as Megabyte

I could Brooks as Megabyte too. It would be different, but I think he has the attitude and generally sexiness of voice.
