Personally want them to start over and improve the story and visuals. Same characters, rebooted story and new designs. I think flashbacks will turn off general audiences, and as a fan I'm not interested in that anyway. As a fan, I simply want to see my favorite characters again in their unique world. The purpose of the movies is to restart the franchise and attract new audiences. Holding onto the old story will only drag it down...

Maybe if the movie does well they can fund a couple more episodes to end the show. I'd be cool with that.

I have high of hopes for this movie. It's got a lot of potential.. There have been so many crappy movies the past few years since the writers strike. >P Hopefully the writers for Reboot are fans of cool television shows like Dexter, Lost, etc... At least then we'd know they are under good influence. lol

Yeah, continuing the cliffhanger can't be the focus of the movie. While what you're saying would work, I think an even better idea would be to have the movie start in the middle of the action, like a Bond movie. To new audiences, it's just a cool fight scene, but it also helps to establish the characters, world, and tone of the film. To us old fans, it is a way to wrap up the cliffhanger we've been waiting a decade for. Megabite gets a big action scene that leads to his current plan being defeated, then the main plot of the movie picks up. Fans are happy with a resolution, and new people won't be extremely confused. Then the new plot of the movie can work for everybody. What that new plot is? That's not for me to decide. Could be Megabite, could be something else. Could be something else with Megabite behind the scenes. Whatever. I just want to see the series continue for as long as possible, and in order for that to happen, it needs new fans, while keeping the old fans.

Look the cast has to look similar and be in character. It wouldn't make sense if Matrix let himself go; he has worked too hard to become what he is.

And Bob is not the type to become a hermit. If they update the characters looks they still need to be recognizable and make sense to their character.

Batman's looks have changed and stayed the same. Why can't Rainmaker do that?

That would explain a clip of the teaser trailer they have on a behind the scenes thing of Rain Maker on rainmaker.com showing a downloading guardian that looks like a younger TURBO!! It's like 3/4 down of the homepage. You have to look out for it bc it has clips of their other works, too, not just Reboot.

I agree, and I'm a massive fan of the show. Flashbacks of Megabyte's hunt could reveal character deaths/deletion and possibly show him degrading without the guardian code, explain the voice since Tony Jay has passed away.

Also think Lens, the codemaster, should return and personally think Megabyte, being related to Hexadecimal, will use the viral code to infect all Hexadecimal saved from Deamon and create the MegaNet.

Would also like to see user characters throughout the show reappear, like in Season 3. Be interesting to see how the story will develop.

I grew up the classic reboot, watching it since it first debuted, so I am really attached to it. At the same time I can see the value of having a story line with new characters.

I think that instead of integrating the two story lines into one movie, they should keep the story lines separate, in two separate series much in the same way that in a superhero series there is always a current one and a crazy alternative universe/time spinoff.

I think this has the potential to satisfy everyone.

Look as long as Rainmaker keeps the original cast in tact and in character, (all of them) they can add new characters or update the casts' look.

Batman has been rebooted how many times? Yet the character is still the same as well as the design. And He has still managed to gather new fans each year.

So I don't understand why Rainmaker thinks ReBoot should be overhauled.

Sorry but speaking as an old fan that just wouldn't be enough for me. I need a proper continuation lasting at least as long as a regular episode to wrap it up in a well written way before going on to new things. While I have no objection to new plots after that, the characters had better be the same.
