Damn right! Some of the best shows out there we remember for their boldness and originality.
The worst thing I can imagine for Reboot, I think, is for it to turn into just another CGI flick, watered down with totally 'politically correct' dialogue, ideas and imagery that could not offend even the most sensitive and closed-minded of viewers.
If you hold Reboot to such an oppressive standard, then what is left to distinguish it from everything we've seen out there?
Of course, we've heard that this new Reboot will have a similarly 'mature' feel to it, as opposed to the more kiddy first two seasons.
But yeah, you are right. Let's see some unsuppressed ideas being explored... so long as we're still watching Reboot, and not something else with Reboot's name attached to it! :D

If you give the characters darker sides then Reboot will definately Not be the Reboot originally envisioned. Yes the characters should mature and become more complex, but understand with that change is inevitable and thereby changing the series. I learned some basic computer knowledge by watching the Reboot series. It would not be the same if it was not educational also.
Just my thoughts.

I wouldn't mind if Reboot took a darker road... as long as the storyline is good and remains "Rebootish" I'm satisfied.

If they put it over a PG-13... well I have a rule that Rated R movies do not make it into the house.

sure, why not.
I'll still love the original series the best, even if it is more kiddish.

That is not what ruined the series, it was the entire 4th season that actually caused it.

I remember when Season 2 ended and Season 3+4 being darker, it was what made ReBoot evolve and upgrade as a show. To go back to what it was in Season 1 wouldn't destroy ReBoot but you can't disregard the fact the show became so much more.
I remember the lines: the web is out there.
No Modem, It's here.
They showed that the story was more realistic, in that anything could happen, the good guys could be defeated, characters were deleted and the true nature of viruses.
But the main thing, that bad things happened and not everything returns to how it once was.
