haha, ya i could see her coming back too, and maybe something to do with her defragmenting and coming back together because little pieces of her were scattered around the web and Matrix's icon accidentally triggering something that would trigger the final step to her return and we find out she actually did do something to Matrix's icon.
Hex needed the cure, which Matrix had inside his icon. Remember how he cured everyone after he himself was cured? She copied the cure into herself, I think.
I'm also hoping that Hex will return, and I have a hunch that the creators of Reboot were planning such an event, although they probably would've waited a season or two. There are several references in My Two Bobs that Hex is still alive:
- When Matrix is practicing with CPUs in Lost Angles, the Lair still stands tall and proud, as if the Queen never left it.
- Hex's power in Enzo's icon that brings back Welman Matrix and remains with him even after Megabyte's infection of the bot.
- And the biggest piece of evidence is when Dot and Mouse discuss the aftermath of Daemon's death, noting how the system is clean, other than some minor nuisances, which Dot and Mouse attribute to Hex. The writers were unclear as to what this referred to; I imagine that Hex's pieces each representing an emotion, and each causing the local system minor problems, harmless in nature.
And not to turn this thread into a bashing of the webcomic, but it seems strange how the webcomic acted like Hex never existed. I don't see how Bob would ever agree to exterminating viruses, especially when Hex's sacrifice emboldened Bob to defy Turbo for good. (I imagine that were the series to continue, Turbo would treat Bob as a traitor). I could see the argument that Bob sincerely believed that Hex was dead, and she was the only decent virus. But still, I'd doubt Bob would give up on viruses after seeing Hex's transformation. Reprogramming viruses has been his lifelong quest, and Hex proved that there's merit to his "radical" ideas.
me niether! :D but when i try to think of ways that she could come back, like, if he show did still run...i cant think of anything that would make sense. hahah xD
yeah i think they would have to bring her back that way somehow....hexadecimal was the personification of extreme power kept in check by her mask...i highly doubt that aalll of her power would've been used up in the process of curing the entire net
Hexadecimal has been my favorite ReBoot character even since I knew ReBoot, so I really hope she will return, too. The above explanation seems probable, as Hex had transfinite power levels, as Phong once said. However, the Net is pretty big, so I hope she has survived somehow... I wouldn't like it for the world if my dear Hexy is not coming back :(

It was clear when Bob said it would totally defragment her, that she isn't coming back. I have a hard time believing that she will return.
