maybe someone's asked this already, but where the hell were the code masters during the whole daemon thing?

I mean seriously, Frisket is about the same age as Matrix, and dogs age 7 times faster, so Frisket probably should have died at least twice of old age.

I must say ReBoot, although being short-lived (for now) was the best show of my life-time. I say this not just because of the show being entertaining, but creating a fan base that was and is so strong that the company that produced the show was saved by it's very fans. And since Mainframe became Rainmaker they have done a great deal to keep us entertained.
Look at Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, the special effects were done by Rainmaker, so without them the shows would've looked a lot different, possibly worse. Many people enjoyed the Beast Wars show, and my nieces like the Barbie movies.
I honestly can't express how much I appreciate Rainmaker, the cast of ReBoot, and the fans, especially the older ones that actually had money to keep the company going.
ReBoot was just so imaginative and original, nothing today compares to the quality of this series. All there is today is shows with sex, guts, and drugs, nothing that can actually enrich anyone.

Hi, I'm new to the site and saw that I can read Paradigms lost but it seems to be the second of three webcomics.  Does anyone know if it's possible to access the first webcomic?  I'd love to see the new stuff in order as I've been a fan from the start and have been craving some closure on the cliffhanger for a very long time.

I've beeen a huge fan of reboot since i was 6 years old. I remember it appearing on a Canadian broadcast YTV. I have not seen the new animated reboot nor do I know where it is playing.

Does anyone know if there is a season disc collection of Reboot? Last year I found all 3 seasons of Beast Wars which some of you may know. I was very pleased and excited  that I bought it. Now I just wonder if Reboot is out there.

After reading the full comic in less than hour that it takes, does anyone else think that there was a HUGE amount of potential within there that the writers did not have the time to expand on?  (checking around shows that the project was rushed) 

Does anyone else want to see someone take some time to expand the story, fill in the gaps and show the full potential contained within the online pages?  Even if it's in another media, like written or visual? 

Just a thought really.  Wondering if I'm more or less on my own for this one.

I only recently became aware of the Reboot revival (and its' success)... and as a big fan of Reboot this is literally a dream come true! Reboot had a big influence on my life due to that as I grew, the story became more mature; the characters evolved, the setting became more serious, in effect making it feel as if the show grew with me.

The moral lessons, character depth, and character connection, was also simply amazing! It really helped shaped my personality, and made me the person that I am today...

Curious, I decided to look up the roots of this revival movement, and found the guy whom calls himself, "Glitchbob", as the prime agent of change; the main push that brought my dream of the continuation of Reboot into existance!

Glitchbob, although you are way too awesome and humble to admit it, you are the messiah of mainframe! Without you, and dare I say heroic determination and effort I truly doubt that Reboot would of ever returned!

We totally need Hexadecimal to come back, she was awesome and mental... ok a bit dodgy sometimes, but what i loved about the original content was that it was ok, she was a one of the kind lady who had classy side ( when she was white hex) and a totally dirty side as an evil sister type :P I really want her back i must admit I probaly won't watch it if they don't, i mean it's like not having hack "n" slash lol.

So I have been wondering what a sprites color means: Bob is blue.
Enzo and Dot are greenish.
Mouse is purple.
AndrAIa is orange(but she is only a Game AI Sprite, so i don't think she really counts.)
But i have come up with a theory that maybe their color might have to do something with their programing ancestor. but then again i really don't know, so i would like to hear some opinions on this.

There are many I truly loved. My two favorites though would have to be the spoof of the "X" files and of "Star Trek".
My daughter and I would watch together and enjoyed talking about it. She's a collage graduate now and lives in another city. Fond memories still abound. I have every legitimate DVD I can find. Still watch now and then and wish the entire series was legitimately available on DVD or even better Blu-Ray.

This maybe be a silly observation but in the opening sequence of seasons one & two Bob does his little spiel "To Mend & Defend" ect. What I never got was at the end of it when he says "They say the user lives outside the net & inputs games for pleasure. No one knows for sure, but I intend to find out."

Bob NEVER attempted to find this out or was ever seen to make any effort to. Just seems a bit misleading. Anyone agree?

I've been out of the loop for a few years I guess and didn't know about any of this until i stumbled upon it by accident.

Why is this webcomic not available any longer?? (or if it is, how do you get to it?)
what's the official continuity here??  Is this comic going to be the official canon of what happens at the end of the series?  What's Enzo's viral icon do?  what actually happens?
and in closing........I hope like hell that the the character designs don't end up going into some lame cliched anime wannabe kind of style that has seemed to envelope everything in recent animation.  ANIME ALL LOOKS THE SAME!!!  DO SOMETHING ORIGINAL!

I read the sequel comics a while ago, and I just couldn't stomach it when you killed off megabyte. I tried reading further, but I just didn't have the heart too.

Megabyte was the heart of mainframe. He was the magnificent bastard, the draco in leather pants. The more evil he was, the greater we, the fans, loved him.

Don't kill him off, he was at the heart of the show. I won't be able to see a series where his important role is cast aside so callously.

Hello everyone,

 I was just wondering what everyone thought about the introduction of this Exidy character and if you thought she was a good addition to the comic.

I found that the comic went kinda downhill from there for me. From that point it seemed like the writer was rushing to a conclusion. Introducing (from out of no where) a character that resembles a hindu god/ fairy as the one who gives the solution to Bob doesn't sound like an ending that was very well thought out. If I have insulted anyone then I apologize but Im just saying that that this character wasn't really well built up. When Bob meets this character it was like the comic went from Reboot to really messed up fairyland story. If you feel like I have missed something or feel I have this character all wrong then let me know.

When I heard that they were going to make movies of ReBoot it crossed my mind that they might redesign the characters. That's when this version of Megabyte popped into my head.

In Wizards Warriors and a word from our sponsor, when Bob and the others had to get the chalice but keep the users from getting it, I wondered why he didn't just say "Glitch, power barrier!" or something.

So guys, what do you think of the figures/toys and ReBoot merchandise? 
I recently ordered and recieved Hex, Megabyte, Enzo and Bob from eBay. (series 1 versions). Megabyte is my favorite because i think he translates well into toy form. His claws even come out, which is cool! I'm on a mission to hunt a Matrix and maybe Glitch Bob figure though.

What was it that ruined the first two seasons, easy... the BS&P. The writers of the show were constantly struggling with these rules. In one episode going as far as to use profanity in binary code one the cityscape lights as a sign of deviance. Over time the show started to explore darker themes and "bend" the rules, and that's what they need if they want to to truly revieve ReBoot, take off the kiddie gloves. Am I right?

Everyone knows how ReBoot ended. Megabyte was posing as Frisket in order to get access to the principal office. Very clever on his part, but how did he do it?

WHERE'S THE REAL FRISKET?

so I waited and waited for the comic to finally get an answer. What did I get? Frisket but no explanation of where he was when Megabyte was posing as him!

C'mon, i know you weren't expecting Daemon to be so.. Innocent? After seeing the Web Riders and all those monsters, I imagined Daemon to be some super-demonic beastie thing. Man, what a surprise. 

Though i do like Daemon. It was a good surprise, and another good interesting in the story.

I'm making this post as a reaction to the topic that the new Reboot movie (or movies depending on how many are in the end produced) and the fact that at this point they plan on well... Reboot-ing ReBoot for that matter. Mind you at the same time I'm one of those fans who still want a legit follow up to the cliff hanger that the TV series ended on.

As much love, care and work that went into the comic, and how it somewhat tied up those loose ends, I still am not satisfied and I think this can be rectified.

It's obvious a a theatrical movie shouldn't start off where the TV series left off... but why must that ending be forgotten as part of the new project underway.

I don't see why as part of this project that perhaps a set of an additional 4 episodes, or TV movie (like Daemon Rising and My Two Bobs) can't be done as well to finally tell the end of what happened in a way that does the TV series some justice. It could simultaneously serve as a way to prom...

You don't have to completely start over to include new fans and you don't have to completely continue to please the older fans. You can compromise. The plot can be new, but there can be flashbacks that continue from Megabyte's "hunt" from the end of Season 4. Maybe something tragic happened during the hunt that is referenced by the characters throughout the movie and flashbacks would be seen throughout the film that would explain what exactly happened during "the hunt". The film can be the ultimate ReBoot experience that would please new and old fans alike. It's possible and the films definitely have my support.

Back in the day, i remember watching ReBoot.. I remember Bob and the 'Green girl and kid with the skateboard things'. I remember trying to remember the themesong when the series stopped airing on TV for me. Now, what has got to be about 10 years later, I stumble across the series again and watch it in it's entirety. As someone who's not impressed easilly, this series by far exceeds any expectations I have as far as TV characters and stories go. I also find that there's a surprisingly large fanbase for the show! Well, i'm not that surprised, but still.. surprised? 
So. Here I am, still loving the show for so many reasons. I will try to be active and provide different fanarts for the show, awaiting the arrival of the new movie. (I don't care if it will suck, it's going to be AWESOME.)

Hi fellow fans! I recently watched all the episodes of the whole ReBoot series. This made me think a little, and that's when I thought of this question.

What is your favorite episode/plot in the series we all love?

Of course, you want to know my answer first ;) Well that's ok, because when I thought of this question I began thinking what I thought was the best plot. My favorite episode must be ''Painted Windows'', primarily because my favorite character, Hexadecimal plays a leading role in it. It's cool when Bob says: ''And don't do ANYTHING, until you get my signal." Then Enzo asks: ''What's your signal?'' And then Bob answers: ''I don't know yet, but you'll recognize it, when you see it.''

And then my favorite plot... that one is a bit more difficult :P But it's ok, I thought about this one too: It's in the last four episodes, when Trojan Horse Megabyte poses as Bob and almost marries Dot. And of cousre how he fooled everyone before he took control of the Princip...

I recently saw an episode of reboot on TV and right away jumped on the internet to find as many episodes as I could.  This show was my childhood and my love for it burns very deeply again.  I watched all the episodes until the season 4 cliffhanger and was very disappointed that there was no closure.  I read the comic today and liked it although it was alittle different.  I was really disappointed that andraia played almost no role as andraia and matrix fit together so well and were the most interesting characters to see interact for me.  I'm not looking for anything too soap opera but its their relationship that made me feel like the characters of reboot were alive.

My questions are this.  I believe 5 episodes were planned but never done correct? (or a 3rd movie after my 2 bobs) 

Why did this happen? Lack of money or ratings or something else? 

If the 5 episodes/3rd movie had scripts written what ever happened to them and will they be made now...

1. Who do we send stuff to, to give our ideas and such?
2. I keep hearing things about a film and that there is a trailer. Is the trailer the video that is on Rainmaker that shows the dropping gamecube and says "Prepare for the upgrade?"
3. A movie would be fantastic but what about finding out what happens after super Megabyte takes over the princple office? It would be wonderful for ReBoot the series to be back on T.V. but that brings the T.V. companies into the deal. Why not get what original cast that is still left and pick up where the series ended, follow that story line and release it straight to DVD? They could put all of the original episodes with the new ones into a TRUE box-set and then there would be no fight with the T.V. companies, and that would slove that one issue.
4. Who would the movie be about? Do they have new characters in mind?

How about why is Matrix always so angry?

I'd like to throw this out to everyone...  IF there was the possibility of obtaining a NEW Action Figure to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the series.

I would personally like to see Mouse as she was supposed to be part of the Series 1 AND the Series 2 Irwin Toy releases.  With a prototype of both the white vest and Gold Armour being made, but never seeing final production.

Pfft, ahahah! I'm sure most of you know what trolls are. They are the annoying scum of the internet whose only purpose seems to be to cause trouble. But there's really a lot more to them, and the inside jokes they have, and learning the intricacies of trolling could really help someone fend off a troll.

So I think it would be neat if, in some parallel universe where ReBoot continues as a TV series, a troll virus was introduced, even if for an episode.

Think about it. Someone who causes the chaos of Hex with the foresight of Megs. There is a pattern to their madness and the grief they cause to everyone around them. Perhaps they're even putting on a show for other troll viruses who are watching, as is usually the case with real trolls. How can this not work?

A troll virus would have to work by the same set of unspoken rules as their IRL counterparts do: Do things for the lulz or not at all. A troll virus would never take themselves seriously, and mock you...

I haven't done any ReBoot fanart and I'm not likely to, but I was wondering if anyone else did? It would be interesting to meet some fellow artists.

So, apparently Rainmaker has revamped their site once more (gone is the red, now replaced by mainly white with hints of dark teal).

But on to what we’ve been waiting to see…. if you mouse-over “Work” you’ll see a menu and in that menu is “Reboot” (yes, they should kinda get it noted to everyone who works there, the “b” should be capitalized).

Once clicked, you’ll get a media player with a still image which says:

Hello fellow fans and people at Rainmaker. I like the way ReBoot's ''revival'' is making progress, but as a fan who just loves to watcht the series again and again, it's a shame the entire collection of ReBoot was never released on original DVD.

I have of course been looking for DVD's to buy on the Internet... but all I find are the two movies which form Season 4, and so-called box sets of the series - which always appear to be taped from TV. You might just understand that the quality of those DVD's is... well, not very good (except for the movies of Season 4, which ARE released on original DVD).

I hope very much that, when Rainmaker finally made some episodes (or films) which will tell us what Megabyte meant when he was talking about ''the Hunt'' at the cliffhanger in Season 4. And who knows? Maybe then there will come even more episodes. with new enemies and twists!

I'm new to this site, but since I joined two days ago, I check back about every hour! I already love it here, and I'll be happy to let you know what I think... but since I'm new here, I don't know much about the ReBoot webcomic yet.

I checked it once... I just skimmed it, honestly. Here are my points:

 - I saw some people here in this community say that the story is a little too much focused on something else than Mainframe; in this case, the Supercomputer and the Net. Since Megabyte took control of Mainframe in the epic cliffhanger in Season 4, the story should be more focused on this matter.

 - Many characters were changed a bit, maybe to fit in the ''comic'' concept, or any other reason. If this is how the characters will be in the ''revived'' series, then I don't agree with the concept. If our beloved series ReBoot is to be brought back, THE CHACACTERS SHOULD STAY THE WAY THEY WERE.

 - Since I just looked through it once, and didn't really read it, I ...

I strongly disagree with this method of reviving the whole series for reasons that bother me more than this hand drawn joke. If Rainmaker can't get the ORIGINAL Reboot creators to embark on this project, then I'm sorry to say that this "revival" will suck.

All the time and ressources wasted for what? Nothing. I don't care about fan-made projects and I sincerely think they're worthy for a totaly different show and should not be in relation to the original series.

Rainmaker: Hire the original Reboot creators/voices and you won't need to waste years worrying about your ideas going to waste. The Terminator series should have ended at 2: Judgement Day but some idiots decided to keep going at it to ruin the series. This isn't the type of project you consult with a random audience. It seems that you guys have no clue in which direction you're headed. You need people who know what they're doing with several years of experience doing it., otherwise it's not fit to be class...

If you could redesign or upgrade a character, which one would it be?

I would choose Phong.  It would just be an upgrade, not a complete make-over.  I just find it surprising that he really didn't change much over the series.

First, I would upgrade his wardrobe.  Then, I would give him a device like a PDA or something.  It's strange that Dot has a blackberry, Bob has Glitch and Matrix has a gun.  Yet Phong has nothing.  It would just be minor changes to him.

Hey, I've been wondering... where can I purchase seasons of Reboot? I mean, I've checked ebay several times and the cheapest one's are like $80 for 4 episodes and there are only a few Volumes available on there so I wouldn't be able to get all of the seasons. Is there any way the original Reboot can be re-released on DVD at a lower price than that or something? If anyone has any ideas of where I can get good quality versions of the shows at a reasonable price, or if there is a place that sales them that I don't know about,  please let me know.

ReBoot is a show that is very close to my heart. Not only because it was one of my favourite shows as a kid, that I thought was visually stunning, cleverly thought out, and brilliantly executed... But also from the way I watched it.

As a kid living in the UK, I would always get excited when I came home from school and found ReBoot - this Canadian show, created entirely using 3D CGI models, portraying the stories of "people" who were functions of a computer - was on TV.
The opening dialogue and theme music was fantastic, the graphics were impressive, the "hoverboards" were great fun, all the computer references were funny and fit the plot... It was just incredible.

I continued to watch with, enjoying every moment, until it came to the "Web Wars" at the end of Series 2. At this point it stopped being just "one of those cartoons I liked" and it became EPIC. I began to realise the one-off episodes had developed into a small story-arc, in which the good-guys and...
