I'd like to throw this out to everyone...  IF there was the possibility of obtaining a NEW Action Figure to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the series.

I would personally like to see Mouse as she was supposed to be part of the Series 1 AND the Series 2 Irwin Toy releases.  With a prototype of both the white vest and Gold Armour being made, but never seeing final production.

Pfft, ahahah! I'm sure most of you know what trolls are. They are the annoying scum of the internet whose only purpose seems to be to cause trouble. But there's really a lot more to them, and the inside jokes they have, and learning the intricacies of trolling could really help someone fend off a troll.

So I think it would be neat if, in some parallel universe where ReBoot continues as a TV series, a troll virus was introduced, even if for an episode.

Think about it. Someone who causes the chaos of Hex with the foresight of Megs. There is a pattern to their madness and the grief they cause to everyone around them. Perhaps they're even putting on a show for other troll viruses who are watching, as is usually the case with real trolls. How can this not work?

A troll virus would have to work by the same set of unspoken rules as their IRL counterparts do: Do things for the lulz or not at all. A troll virus would never take themselves seriously, and mock you...

I haven't done any ReBoot fanart and I'm not likely to, but I was wondering if anyone else did? It would be interesting to meet some fellow artists.

So, apparently Rainmaker has revamped their site once more (gone is the red, now replaced by mainly white with hints of dark teal).

But on to what we’ve been waiting to see…. if you mouse-over “Work” you’ll see a menu and in that menu is “Reboot” (yes, they should kinda get it noted to everyone who works there, the “b” should be capitalized).

Once clicked, you’ll get a media player with a still image which says:

Hello fellow fans and people at Rainmaker. I like the way ReBoot's ''revival'' is making progress, but as a fan who just loves to watcht the series again and again, it's a shame the entire collection of ReBoot was never released on original DVD.

I have of course been looking for DVD's to buy on the Internet... but all I find are the two movies which form Season 4, and so-called box sets of the series - which always appear to be taped from TV. You might just understand that the quality of those DVD's is... well, not very good (except for the movies of Season 4, which ARE released on original DVD).

I hope very much that, when Rainmaker finally made some episodes (or films) which will tell us what Megabyte meant when he was talking about ''the Hunt'' at the cliffhanger in Season 4. And who knows? Maybe then there will come even more episodes. with new enemies and twists!

I'm new to this site, but since I joined two days ago, I check back about every hour! I already love it here, and I'll be happy to let you know what I think... but since I'm new here, I don't know much about the ReBoot webcomic yet.

I checked it once... I just skimmed it, honestly. Here are my points:

 - I saw some people here in this community say that the story is a little too much focused on something else than Mainframe; in this case, the Supercomputer and the Net. Since Megabyte took control of Mainframe in the epic cliffhanger in Season 4, the story should be more focused on this matter.

 - Many characters were changed a bit, maybe to fit in the ''comic'' concept, or any other reason. If this is how the characters will be in the ''revived'' series, then I don't agree with the concept. If our beloved series ReBoot is to be brought back, THE CHACACTERS SHOULD STAY THE WAY THEY WERE.

 - Since I just looked through it once, and didn't really read it, I ...

I strongly disagree with this method of reviving the whole series for reasons that bother me more than this hand drawn joke. If Rainmaker can't get the ORIGINAL Reboot creators to embark on this project, then I'm sorry to say that this "revival" will suck.

All the time and ressources wasted for what? Nothing. I don't care about fan-made projects and I sincerely think they're worthy for a totaly different show and should not be in relation to the original series.

Rainmaker: Hire the original Reboot creators/voices and you won't need to waste years worrying about your ideas going to waste. The Terminator series should have ended at 2: Judgement Day but some idiots decided to keep going at it to ruin the series. This isn't the type of project you consult with a random audience. It seems that you guys have no clue in which direction you're headed. You need people who know what they're doing with several years of experience doing it., otherwise it's not fit to be class...

Howdy everyone, I joined the site a while back but have not had the oppurtunity to say hello till now. I'm still navigating the site but is there any roleplayig forums or anything? I hope everyone had a great weekend, long live the user.

If you could redesign or upgrade a character, which one would it be?

I would choose Phong.  It would just be an upgrade, not a complete make-over.  I just find it surprising that he really didn't change much over the series.

First, I would upgrade his wardrobe.  Then, I would give him a device like a PDA or something.  It's strange that Dot has a blackberry, Bob has Glitch and Matrix has a gun.  Yet Phong has nothing.  It would just be minor changes to him.

Hey, I've been wondering... where can I purchase seasons of Reboot? I mean, I've checked ebay several times and the cheapest one's are like $80 for 4 episodes and there are only a few Volumes available on there so I wouldn't be able to get all of the seasons. Is there any way the original Reboot can be re-released on DVD at a lower price than that or something? If anyone has any ideas of where I can get good quality versions of the shows at a reasonable price, or if there is a place that sales them that I don't know about,  please let me know.

ReBoot is a show that is very close to my heart. Not only because it was one of my favourite shows as a kid, that I thought was visually stunning, cleverly thought out, and brilliantly executed... But also from the way I watched it.

As a kid living in the UK, I would always get excited when I came home from school and found ReBoot - this Canadian show, created entirely using 3D CGI models, portraying the stories of "people" who were functions of a computer - was on TV.
The opening dialogue and theme music was fantastic, the graphics were impressive, the "hoverboards" were great fun, all the computer references were funny and fit the plot... It was just incredible.

I continued to watch with, enjoying every moment, until it came to the "Web Wars" at the end of Series 2. At this point it stopped being just "one of those cartoons I liked" and it became EPIC. I began to realise the one-off episodes had developed into a small story-arc, in which the good-guys and...

How is it that I'm the first person to post this...seriously this should be in the hearts and minds of every ReBoot fan ever. I know the memories of the original ReBoot game still haunt me but, come on that was almost three generations of gaming consoles ago.

Between the PS3, PSP, and the Wii it should NOT take to long to produce a quality game...i mean the graphics and physics engines are half done already and with all the untapped material from three seasons, two movies, matrix and andrAIa' game time, Bob's web-riding, the battle for mainframe, and deamon's infection they could make a game series in no time!

Now Crouching Binome, Hidden Virus presented the audience with a first-person view of using glitch, matrixes gun, and andrAIa's trident frankly I've been obsessed with the idea ever since now with games like bio-shock and the conduit fueling the FPS genre i think it would take very little effort to put that together...how awesome would that be!

Of course, that'll only really be viable if the revival does happen and we do get those movies. Maybe then Rainmaker could also afford to pay the rights fees and get the DVD boxset we all want out there.

But it would be cool to see the cast and creators at a con. I saw the footage on youtube of the ReBoot panel at the Anime con in Vancouver and devoutly wished I could be there. Did any of you guys see it?

For the coming movies/seasons/etc., the show faces a great dilemma: who to cast?

Tony Jay, one of the greatest voice actors on television (and many other mediums), gave us an amazing villain. John William Baldry, another fantastic actor, gave Captain Capacitor his spirit and made Old Man Pearson one great Codemaster.

Casting actors to take up Mr. Jay's and Mr. Baldry's roles will be a real challenge.

So, who do you think would be best?

Personally, I think that Jeremy Irons would sound the closest to Jay. Irons lent his voice to Scar from the Lion King, along with a long list of other movie credentials. If Irons was not available, I think Jim C. (the filter is trying to restrict his last name), the voice of half of Disney's characters and Scar's singing voice in Lion King would be the next best choice.

I was thinking the other day about getting a tattoo and thought to myself "What would be BA enough to mark up my body with?" and then it hit me:  Matrix's awesome tattoo.  So my question is, does anyone out there have like a picture or some kind of clear drawing or something of that nature of it?  I've been looking on the internet but to no avail.  Help me please!

There was a playstation game for Reboot and it had several scenes not from the original series.  I never played the game, but I recently came across it on youtube.  It looks like a prequel episode of the show.

It's been awhile since I've seen the show.  I'm wondering if they ever included the game's episode into the regular series.  Has anyone played the game and what was the game about?

For me, the weirdest thing was finding out that Hex was a benign virus.  Whereas Megabyte was a malignant virus.

The most interesting thing was finding out that Hex and MB were siblings.

This week, the guardians thought we'd poll the most controversial question in the community. Take it as any of these interpretations:

With Rainmaker being more involved with the community, we feel this is the best way for fans to clearly speak who they want to see more in the movie.

But more than that, I personally love hearing the debates as to who is the most popular character.

When it comes down to it for myself, I loved Season 3 Bob. I loved Bob all throughout the series, as I got to watch him grow to be more mature.

The season 3 Glitch Bob was modest about how wicked he was with Glitch. At the time where we didn't know about the issues Bob had with the merge with Glitch, Bob appeared to be invulnerable. I almost wish there was a second take to Showdown, where it truly was Bob vs Mega...

For those who've not yet viewed my YouTube channel, there are some EARLY demos from the original Mainframe crew way back when they were trying to pitch the series to the networks.

Some of you may have seen the first promo from when I first uploaded Fast Forward: The Making of ReBoot to the 'net all those years ago... but the rest I think you'll agree are a unique insight into the technology of the time.

Reboot has a great story. We accept that.
We also accept that reviving the series will be a great effort.

My simple suggestion is that, alongside our attempts at bringing theatrical movies, graphical updates, etc, we should also take the best stories we can and turn them into novels. There might be moments where we wish there was artwork for a scene, but as I see it, Reboot may be able to live in these novels if they're well written.

If they're interesting books, they could raise lots of Reboot awareness and maybe some capita for our revival projects, not to mention being entertaining in their own accord. Course, one problem is finding someone to write them, but , with the help of the community, I'm sure it could meet the high expectations for the series.

This is still a rather unpolished idea and it may be difficult to implement, or have some kinks to work out, or even already be suggested, but I do think that in the long run, they have the potent...

I think if they want to make a theatrical movie,
they shouldn't solve the cliffhanger in it, because it would be too confusing
for the new audience, and I do think there should be a Theatrical Reboot
movie.  If they are gonna make a Theatrical movie they should redo seasons
1&2 to have the same graphics as season 3&4 and broadcast them all in
order, then release a TV movie to close up the cliffhanger.  By the end,
if they space it out, more and more people will know about reboot.  There could
also be some viral marketing having to do with one of the viruses.  And if
they do make a Theatrical movie, I think it shouldn't just continue on the same
story.  It should have the same main characters, yes, somewhat the same
feel, but not the same mainframe.

Yet it would just be a disservice to every fan of the original series. I mean for everyone who has hung onto the cliff hanger of season 4, waiting and hoping for a revival.

I'm sorry but as nice as the comic continuation is... it's just not the same. Not to mention it breaks the flow of how the show ended.


I can't be the only one who wants to see the original characters as they last were, with the original voice actors and all the wacky moments and tv/movie references. I hope that these things don't get missed in the screen adaptation.

I just felt the need to discuss the fact that the movies should follow the TV show... not simply take place in the ReBoot world and have ReBoot type characters and stuff.

This week, GlitchBob and I (Sorry Justice, you and your crazy 7 hours ahead of us) have decided to ask you, the fans, a more debatable question!

What is your favorite (favourate for us Canadians) episode, and why?

I always have a tough time deciding on this one, as I really favor most episodes... even though I will never really enjoy High Code (hides from criticism).

The episode I can never get enough of is Number 7. It was such a silly episode, but that's what made it fun. Plus, Megabyte's facepalm is brilliant.

But overall, the reason Number 7 is my favorite is the soundtrack. That 8 bit music is freaking sweeeeeet.

So I ask you, my fellow booters, what is your favorite episode, and why?

I know that at the heart of ReBoot's story it's about the everlasting rivalry Bob and Megabyte have against each other but I had a day dream not long ago and in my head i went over some crazy visuals featuring a very vibrant "web" via Season 3 and just thinking about how this would all turn out if it were a more highly detailed web battle of epic proportions think "Troy", "Braveheart" and all those movies that feature empires at war but with a large onslaught of sprites and web creatures. It's something i hope would be elaborated more on in the movie(s), origins of the creatures and the riders..i could just imagine how sweet it'd be to see something of what i envisioned unfold, obviously we have the fantastic battle already gone over with the terror that happened inside of Mainframe and with Matrix and The Crimson Binome but just imagine if that was on more of a grand scale. Seeing more of what the guardians and such like Turbo are capable of would be awesome.

Just tossing around a few ideas that I have not see posted as of yet. I am new, so if you have seen something like this, sorry.  
1. I think it would be cool to have reboot with real people... I have thought about it a lot lately. We probably have the technology now. It would probably be hard to do the voices  like the original though.  
2. The user could be on a laptop - or perhaps something even more compact.

I have decided that it doesn't matter if there are different voice artists portraying the characters! Forgive me for saying this, but I have a reason:

There have been 5 changes of Voice Actors throughout ReBoot's Creation. Here they are:

Season 2 (well, from Talent Night)

*Enzo's Voice Artist Changes (I suppose this one doesn't really count since he just ages)

Season 3

*Enzo's Voice changes again.

*Hacks voice changes.

*Bobs voice changes

Season 4

*Yet again, Enzo's voice changes.

Also, it doesn't matter if their voice is different, as long as they stay in character it's cool, right?

I was a little suprised, and like "Why did it end that way? Oh well". A few months later, I heared about them making movies (which we are all waiting for). However, it is a bit more annoying to watch when you take into consideration that it was the last episode of ReBoot....

I'm not sure if a similar thread has been posted before, it is late and I'm to tired to search through all the pages.
I have watch the movie many times and never fully understood this, after i post I may check the wiki.
Bob's code was the key to beating Daemon or at least her infection, I understand why he wasn't able to cure Turbo, part of his code was missing thanks to Megabyte. And Matrix had a complete I wanna say copy of his code or protocol so he was able to administer the cure when he went back to sprite mode. But what I'm having trouble understanding is why Bob's code. If it was a Guardian thing then why were the others infected, Turbo was able to fight it for a while. Any insight?

I've been thinking about it and makes me want to ask the question, what is scuzzy (hex's cat) and where did it come from anyway? i mean it's got to have some secert to it, in season 3 it was able to get through the fire wall and get to hex but the never explained how. does it have some kind of special power that they never explained? and after it reached hex it just dissapeared from the series. was it like an incanation of hex that she made to keep her company but then re-joined here when she was held captive to give her a boost in power so she could escape? come to think of it scuzzy did look pretty virus like. what do you think?

for me my three favorite episodes is really quite easy I have been a fan since the beginning.

      I always respect how they showed clips of the war      and the firewall being destroyed, most shows leave large gaps in the past.

I thought of a BRILLIANT movie Idea a while back.... and I've only just remembered it! The idea is that it's set AFTER the Hunt, and Mainframe has been plauged with War. It's sort of like Terminator Salvation, with The Hunt being like Judgement Day.

I've been the fan of the show for a long time. In fact I just bought AndrAIa and Megabyte 12 inch figures today at a local flea market, they had more, but I didn't have enough, it was then or getting home. But I would like to see a flashback type of episodes, web comic or movie, from season 3, a lost episode deal, with what happened between "Game Over" and "Icons" this may have been suggested already, but I thought I'd atleast put it out there. Is Cron viruses  were real, how devastating would they be?

Given that people who don't know much about Reboot (coz they weren't fans originally or weren't around at the time) will have to be convinced to go and see the film (personally I don't think there are enough of us yet to keep the franchise going alone), it has to be a fantastic film. This obviously means good reviews, very good adverts, and word of mouth etc.

Now, just imagine what would happen if the film was awful and it flopped. What would that mean for us? Where would this leave us as fans who have kept the show going for so long?

I'm not saying that it WILL be a flop, I'm just wanting to know people's opinons on what could happen next.

I love collecting TV and movie soundtracks, as they often have some of the coolest music.

We are working to translate it to spanish and made the subtitles. Now we have the first chapter from the first Season... but need help to convert all next chapter dialogues to text, because we are good reading but not listening.

I'm a long time fan of ReBoot and I have rewatched every episode more than once even knowing that in the end their would be no resolution due to season 4's cutbacks.
So very recently after rewatching everything I went sifting the internet for more information on ReBoot to see if there was any kind of resolution and i found this website.
I was excited to learn that there had been a competition on how to relaunch and continue the franchise, i read all the entry ideas and then i read the comic continuation.
Dont get me wrong. It felt like ReBoot and it seemed like the direction the story would have gone in and it was a gripping read but theres still one thing that bugs the hell out of me.
It feels to me like if Daemon Rising and My Two Bobs were features cut into 4 episodes then Arrival could easily be just the comic version of the third film however when it got split into 4 episodes they just never bothered the ever show the first episode, probably the second as well....

So why was Megabyte such an interesting and perfect character for ReBoot? There are so many reasons to list, but I'll try to keep it brief while also trying to avoid the completely obvious. I've omitted so much to try and get in the meat and potatoes, but hopefully this scratches the surface of what could be said about everyone's favorite Green Eyed Monster.

Having a convincing driving force to counter by the hero is what makes or breaks villains in general. Megabyte's desire for ultimate power may have seemed too simplistic and cliche at first glance, but his actions to achieve his goals defined the show's unique angle. Villains commonly try the usual act of blotting out the sun, but how does a virus accomplish that in a world without one? And why try and destroy something that would ultimately destroy you?
