Well it's getting closer and closer to the announcement at the Fan Expo in Toronto. Gavin Blair will be attending, as well as Rainmaker and Z2H's head guy too (Well, I'm assuming. Will the Pitch writers go too?) While writing that sentence, I thought "Why not just announce the winners on the site". I know a large group of Ontario bound ReBoot fans will attend possibly a large group from outside of Ontario, even Canada. Maybe publicity for the show since a large amount of people go to Expos? Perhaps... Maybe they want to ask Gavin to come back and make a lot of the fans there happy (I hope he accepts heh).
We don't know fully what will happen until that day but I want to ask you for your thoughts on this - Who do you want to write the movies? The Webcomic pitch winner or the Original writers (Well, the ones that can and want to come back I mean).
I personally want Gavin Blair and Ian Pearson to come back. They wrote the series from the beginning and we've all loved their writing. I have too obviously, heh...
What about you?

well the contest is for undiscovered writers to be discovered, I imagine. For the comic I'm rooting for the Prof. WhizzyWig, being very impressed with the Rebootiness of the V2 script.
For the movies I would really like the original writers back, and I think a collaboration between them and the pitch winner would be great. But on the other hand it might make for conflict if the original writers would rather go back to whatever direction they had in mind for the show x-number of years ago. But in theory I like the collab. idea.

I thought the contest was to bring back ReBoot :P
Collab could work but it would be very conflicting and.... weird I think.

I have to agree with Endian, I'd really like to see a collaboration between the winning pitch writers and Blair and Pearson. The comic is going to take things in a new direction regardless of who wins, and I'd imagine that the show would have to work that in somehow.

Personally, I would have preferred if ALL of this was done by the original creators. I guess they're too busy with Barbie and Scary Godmother. >_>

JenKolic: But will the comic be canon with the show? Some people argue that the game isn't but who knows about the comic?
Shadowbolt: Well Gavin after the whole ReBoot.... thing and it's cancellation in 2001 (I'm pretty sure) and I'm sure Ian left soon after so they ain't at fault for Barbie and whatever the hell Scary Godmother is.
