This is a more metaphorical interpretation of the soul-switching process - when I saw the sketches of what Byron's disembodied spirit looked like I got a clear image in my head - this is pretty close.

    Well Byron goes through a great deal of anguish due to his predicament. This anguish would be total agony if all you were was a disembodied soul, IMO
