I'm a long time fan of ReBoot and I have rewatched every episode more than once even knowing that in the end their would be no resolution due to season 4's cutbacks.
So very recently after rewatching everything I went sifting the internet for more information on ReBoot to see if there was any kind of resolution and i found this website.
I was excited to learn that there had been a competition on how to relaunch and continue the franchise, i read all the entry ideas and then i read the comic continuation.
Dont get me wrong. It felt like ReBoot and it seemed like the direction the story would have gone in and it was a gripping read but theres still one thing that bugs the hell out of me.
It feels to me like if Daemon Rising and My Two Bobs were features cut into 4 episodes then Arrival could easily be just the comic version of the third film however when it got split into 4 episodes they just never bothered the ever show the first episode, probably the second as well. It just has that missing time...missing story to it.
Now I may have missed something...hell it's likely i'm sure, but i find it hard to believe we ReBoot fans finally got to bring this show back in whatever form and we let the pivotal cliffhanger that kept us in story limbo for so long just become a moment of backstory. Just an oh yea...megabyte lost but didn't die...DUH.
If theres a comic i missed please tell me. If you agree we got jipped a bit pipe in. If you think it was resolved enough in the comic please say why you think so.

I dont think we got "jipped" exacly. It's more like a bad luck situation due to what happend to the voice of Megabyte. In this case, the only way the cliffhanger could truly be continued was if it was done in a comic book, otherwise it wouldn't really work. However, I think there should have been a final showdown between Megabyte and Bob in the comic but sometimes in the end, u can't get exacly what u want :(
Perhaps theres going to be another comic involving Megabyte (hopefully). I'm positive that it wouln't involve the hunt very much, if at all. But there could still be room for a huge battle in the end. One that can really satisfy the lust we all have for an incredible death of the infamous virus.

I love Tony Jay's voice and I think it would be a shame to see him replaced but, to me, I think if he was cast with expert care and if the voice matched just right, I wouldn't have a problem with the continuation involving the Hunt.
I say this because I think what the fans want more than anything is to see the cliffhanger dealt with because it's what we've been waiting for for so long.
Besides that if we do get the films it could be possible that a LOT of the characters will have new voice actors. I won't be picky if the continuation doesn't involve the original cast. What I'm most conserned about is that the continuation will stay true to ReBoot.

I think they should've made "the Hunt" in the comic a longer and more interesting instead of just having everyone leave after
most of the binomes and zeros one got infected.
I can easly picture Megabyte hiding in the shadows in disguise
pulling a victim in a dark alley where he would then infect them.

I liked it at first, but then as it continued it sucked. I THINK this is because of the rush Whizzywig had when writing it.

I think it was a decent continuation to season 4. It's a good starting point and they are more than welcome to expand on the comic into a mini-series.

LOL I wish the comic told us what happened to Frisket or at least give him an appearance!

I was half and half on the comic. On one hand, I was glad steps were being taken professionally to see an end to that cliffhanger, but on the other hand, the further the comic got, the more WTF I went.
Overall, I felt it was really rushed. Some things were glossed over, others not explained, random characters being introduced. My thing was, why evacuate the city, when half the city's infected. And how exactly did our spritely crew get out of the LOCKED DOWN Principal Office? You mean to say Megabyte just LET them go? I think not.
Cartoon wise, I could see an aftermath effect, with the kind of flashbacks that Season 3 had later and maybe Tony Jay recordings (cheap I know), but the comic didn't have any restrictions. They didn't need My. Jay to voice act, so it could have easily started from the conclusion.

I didn't like the web comic it felt forced especially after that ticking clock to it's release. All that sensationalism for something that looked like it was made in someone's garage by their little brother.
Then there was the overall plot honestly, i've read fanfics with a better opening, middle, and end. Totally glossing over the hunt was a bone-headed move...i get why they did it but, that doesn't mean i have to like it
(their saving 'the hunt' for a more serious entertainment medium i.e. The silver screen!)

I agree that the comics left out a large bit of info. Another thing that bugs me is the fact that young enzo was taken prisoner by megabyte in the last episode and somehow he got into the academy in the comics? I also felt like the characters weren't themselves by comparison to their personalities in the tv series. No offense to the person who wrote the script but it seems like they don't really KNOW the character the same way the original creators do. Not only am I concerned about the plot of the movie to come but I am also concerned for the integrity of the characters and their development (eg. little enzo). If they are going to make a movie then I hope they SERIOUSLY take the time to understand the who these characters are and who they are becoming as well as the plot. On the plus side I was happy to see enzo going to the academy. Im all for change to have them bring in more fans but there are indeed some elements of the show that must remain. If Im mistaken, please correct me. :)

I finally got around to reading it today. As a whole, it was a nice comic. It felt a little rushed at points, but then again, I don't read comics a lot. The art was good and the plot was good too. Though I'm sure I'm like most fans; I hope it isn't a part of the canon storyline. Few plot points would be awesome to see in future Reboot series/stories, such as Enzo's graduation, the academy, Turbo and Matrix's understanding and such.
Hypothetically, if there was another series in the works, and rainmaker were keen on episodes, I would love to see Paradigms of the lost translated to the screen.
