A Crazy Idea?

1 Like This

Just tossing around a few ideas that I have not see posted as of yet. I am new, so if you have seen something like this, sorry.
1. I think it would be cool to have reboot with real people... I have thought about it a lot lately. We probably have the technology now. It would probably be hard to do the voices  like the original though.
2. The user could be on a laptop - or perhaps something even more compact.
These are just a few of conversation starters.... Have at it!
3. Even if they couldn't come up with a Reboot that had real people and sets all the time, it could be spliced with computer animation...

Oh, and instead of green screen as a background they could wear green costumes and have computer generated costumes, it would be reminicent of having sprites in the computer - like an AI echo? Does anyone understand what I am getting at? It might sound crazy.

I have never watched Tron. Not sure what it is, but thanks for posting.

Go watch Tron. It may even be a big inspiration for you. Find out what they used and apply it to your ideas. I always thought a Tron-like style to ReBoot would be cool.

One of the greatest movies ever and an indirect inspiration for ReBoot! set inside of a computer which is a pretty cool accomplishment since it was made in 1982 it tells the story of a man trying to bring down an evil corperation (naturally!) who is digitized and forced to fight for survival against the soulless Master Control Program! It's got hover tanks, light cycles, and jeff bridges...it rocks!

I've been thinking about the same thing!

The trouble with ReBoot is that untlike other CGI shows, it happens in a computer, in a World MEANT to be different from us with different textures, different colors and different shapes.

Animators today are trained to imitate life as much as possible.I've realized that when I went to Rainmaker's site and saw what they do those days.

It sounds weird, but we might have a better chance at achieving a virtual look with something real.

On top of that, CGI is too associated with children or Pixar-like family show. ReBoot i action for older chidren and young adults.

Then again, there's a first time to everything.
