This really sucks

1 Dislike This

I strongly disagree with this method of reviving the whole series for reasons that bother me more than this hand drawn joke. If Rainmaker can't get the ORIGINAL Reboot creators to embark on this project, then I'm sorry to say that this "revival" will suck.

All the time and ressources wasted for what? Nothing. I don't care about fan-made projects and I sincerely think they're worthy for a totaly different show and should not be in relation to the original series.

Rainmaker: Hire the original Reboot creators/voices and you won't need to waste years worrying about your ideas going to waste. The Terminator series should have ended at 2: Judgement Day but some idiots decided to keep going at it to ruin the series. This isn't the type of project you consult with a random audience. It seems that you guys have no clue in which direction you're headed. You need people who know what they're doing with several years of experience doing it., otherwise it's not fit to be classified as a "Revival".

My two cents

Thanks to all the Reboot fans and I still appreciate the effort to keep the series alive.

I'm sure Rainmaker is considering bringing them back, but it's unfortunate to hear you will not be satisfied with any variations.

Also, the voice actor of megabyte died a few years ago. How would you tackle that obstacle?

I agree with you newklear...for the most part. Okay, the on-line comic sucked even by rough draft standards. In all honesty, we've got to accept that the new ReBoot probly won't be OUR series (especially since a couple of the old crew are dead) but, something entirely new and that might not be all that bad. Remember season 3 MASSIVE departure from the from the first two and i'll be the first to admit it i thought it was better even with all the pain and sufferring the cast went through. Just don't lose hope maybe rainmaker will surprise us...i mean did anyone really see a ReBoot revival happening EVER!

If they cant get the same voice actors (because they also have lives that probably has them in contracts to other shows!), i would prefer the cast to have similar voices to the original.

I disagree with your attitude toward the revival effort. I think it was a worthy effort.

What really worries me about this is that we're still WAITING for something real to happen. At least give us some news. Otherwise, all the hype and attention and enthusiasm that the comic created will peter out and this revival will be over before it ever got going.

The comic is old news now. Let's at least hear what has happened behind the scenes since then.

What happened to all the feedback questions? They stopped coming way back last December. As I recall, we were only about halfway through them.

I partially agree with you, however, I still think we should ''trust'' Rainmaker at this point. I'm sure they realise that the original writers and voice actors would be an asset to ReBoot's revival.

I just joined this community two days ago, so I haven't read the online comic yet... I only looked through it once. From what I've seen, the characters have changed a little in appearance, which I do not like. Of course, new ideas are welcome, absolutely. But I think that the characters should STAY THE WAY THEY WERE.

And for the fact that fans want to know what is happening behind the scenes at Rainmaker... I totally agree with Caden. We want to know more about the progress Rainmaker is making, if they're making any progress at all.

But as I see things, and how I loved ReBoot and like I still do, the story should be focused on Mainframe more. And like I stated before, I think ALL the characters should stay the way they were.

Let me know what you all think!

      About your characters thing:
Nah. I don't think they should stay as "the way they were." Do you mean all the way back, to episode one? Definitely not, then. People grow and change, and the best characters in stories grow and change the way they would if they were actual people. Obviously, this also creates a change in appearance; do you dress now the same way you did five years ago? Do you look the same? Hopefully not, or, even, hopefully you do, because then you've invented cryosleep and I want it.

How do you knw Rainmaker's gonna restar the series from scratch? How do you know they're gonna reboot Reboot? Personally, if Reboot ended with season 3 and Turbo never mentioned Daemon, a complete revival of the show wouldn't bother me as much. All I want to see is what happens to Mainframe now that Megabyte is in the principle office (which he has been for the past 8 years lol). As for the voice actors, there have been replacement voice actors on the show before which didn't do too much damage. I mean, there were several voice actors who play Enzo and throughout the show I didn't notice. Also, in the middle of season 3, they had a new voice actor who played Hack (or maybe it was Slash, which every the red one was) and I was happy with that because the new voice of Hack was less annoying. I was, however disappointed when the voice of Bob was replaced.

Anyway, I'm sure they would be able to get some of the original cast members back along with new ones who can do similar voices.

Hurr, the voice of old Bob came back temporarily to do Megabob. X3 So he didn't go away forever.

Wait, they're NOT getting the original creators and voices? I thought that would have been the first thing they did!

    Guys!

    This is a problem!

they haven't said anything about that happening yet. They haven't brought in the creators YET
and they haven't even announced voices so no one knows if the original cast is coming back or not...it's too early to tell

As long as reboot can be revived, we can tolerate some little changes. But please may they not base it on the comic!

It's not that they CAN'T bring the original creators back, it's just that they WON'T. at least not yet anyway. Rainmaker will probably get stuck somewhere in the middle and eventually ask for the help of the creators

and besides, we haven't heard anything about anyone from the cast coming back OR even Rainmaker bringing in new voices.

So, I wouldn't freak out just yet! Give it time for the story to develope and when an actual trailer (teaser doesn't count) is released, then I say go ahead and make your opinion but right now isn't the time for judgement
yes, the comic wasn't all that great but that doesn't mean the same is gonna turn out for the movie
