ReBoot

Well at least they are still working on it. As for the animation...not impressed. For one thing Sprites don't have skin cells; for another it looks like a human wearing a mask.

kind of freaks me out.

it has the ReBoot Look and Feel :) but i can not identify that character must be someone new. i hope

i once had high hopes for this revival. but the glimpses i've been getting of the reanimated corpse has me wondering if it was better left dead.

He is more or less the right color, but the hair (and the face actually) makes him look more like the web surfer Ray Tracer. His hair looks gold rather than silver.

It shows him "compiling up" like the Guardian would in a game download. And the background looks slightly like a city building, similar to the ReBoot trailer. I would have to say it's Bob because he's the only purple-ish, blue guardian I know.

But really, they NEED to give him back the curly dreadlocks.

Ya know, I know they gotta make money.. Sure

But what ever happened to working WITH the fans? They are doing the complete opposite! Why even bother telling them what we want anymore? We've done that until our freaking eyes fall out and where has that gotten us? No where except teasers and character designs that give us brain aneurysms....

They could have even kept this animation... But at least give him his dreads or something! That's not going to take away from the dollar value of the movie, w Just little things like that that they've missed really angers me. Bob is a fun loving, easy going guy. His character doesn't fit the military look in general. But really why do I bother? It makes me wonder what would have happened if we didn't give the countless feedback that we did. He probably would have been yellow for all we know. Thanks, Rainmaker, for at least giving us his skin colour.

The first thought is "sweet a sprite!!!" but it is soon followed by looking at it and seeing that the entire style and artistry of this one is different from the original Reboot.
Reboot initially had rounded edges with bright colours, while this one has sharp contours and a kinda washed look. It does somewhat speak of laziness, like Blaque mentioned, but it might also be them trying to take it in a new direction. I sincerely hope it's the latter, but hey! at this point I could easily be wrong.

Please bring back the feel Reboot had when it first launched. And let fans know that you're reading boards like this and taking their opinions and suggestions into account; especially the guy who told people like me who are caught up in University about this

I, for one, really like the look of this character. Looks fresh and interesting. Honestly, I really don't care if this is indeed the new look of Bob. Yes I may miss the dreads, but as long as he acts very close to the original Bob I already know then I'll be happy. A new perspective is appealing to me.

I think there's far too much negativity around this project. Realize that Rainmaker has hit many roadblocks and are doing the best they can. Of course I'm frustrated that this project isn't moving along quicker, but it's exciting to see there is in fact at least some progress. I'm happy in what I'm seeing.

I can understand the feeling of "I want a continuation, not a re-image." I grew up with ReBoot and would love to see it how I remember it. But I'm fully aware that this won't be happening. And you know what? I'm fine with that. I appreciate that Rainmaker is attempting to bring back my favourite childhood show in movie form. I can't wait to see the new spin on the franchise!

He reminds me more of Turbo than Ray Tracer, honestly. But Turbo is bulkier and blonde. I really hope it isn't Bob...I know they may be trying to make it modern but this is too much. I just fear they'll spend more time making this appeal to new, potential, fans rather than really giving us old fans what we want. Then again, I'm not saying I want it to die, not in the least bit. Even if the movie becomes something we don't want, if it gains enough new fans, maybe it will prompt them to dig back into the older ReBoot. I dunno...it's tough to say this soon...I just want my ReBoot back with my Bob, Dot, Enzo, Matrix, Andraia and even Mouse back. ....Alright alright, and Frisket.

Initially I thought it might be a young Turbo, but it may be a new character for all we know. They may not want to show any of the main characters yet, again, who knows. I would also like to see evidence of more progress because I'm impatient for the show to come back, but do we really want them to rush? I'm ok with waiting for Rainmaker to put more work into it if it yields a better final product.

I'm glad we have gotten the teasers we have, but this is just a tiny little snippet. We will have a lot more to pick apart when there is an actual trailer, and we can see what's going on.

My hope is that they are moving forward with great care because they've seen how vocal and specific the fans of the old show are about quality.

I don't think it's Bob...and it's probably not Turbo. They've shown us glimpses of other Guardians in the past and I think this is just the introduction of a new character.

The style is interesting and so long as Bob has blue skin and silver dreadlocks, I'm game.
