There’s soooo many reboot fans on here yet I don't think we've given rainmaker much of are thoughts on what needs to be put into these movie and how this will all affect the series. If there's something that you think rainmaker MUST know to put into the movies you NEED to let them know so that this doesn’t end up being a disaster!!
Everything matters in ReBoot. Like, music, parodies, action, ECT so we got to make sure that everything goes right, and that's up to use the fans.
I really feel that the creators DEFINITELY have to be apart of this so that they get this right & that they can make sure it’s going in the right direction even if there not writing the movie. I just think they need to know the bones and flesh of the show.
I WANT EVERYONE TO PUT WHAT THEY REALLY THINK SHOULD GO TO THOUHGT AND WHAT YOU THINK RAINMAKER REALLY NEEDS TO KNOW HERE!!! :)
LET’S GET THIS ARE WAY!!
Stay Frosty :D

I totally agree with the new creators to not destroy the continuity set from the previous episodes but I hope we don't foist the perfect ReBoot universe onto Rainmaker. Yes, they are creating this just for us fans but at the same time they also have to work with the new audience who are going to enjoy this as well. Us fans (and people in general) have gone through so many changes in terms of computing since the show went off-air. A lot of the references the show originally used are now totally dated. We live in the world of facebook and social networking now, not including the more computer specific things such as cloud computing and Web 2.0. Appealing to us die-hard fans are as important as appealing to the new audience. It'd be more fun to see these more recent events become a part of the movie instead so we can feel a closer relationship with the ReBoot universe and our own world, seeing ReBoot is supposed to be a mirror world of our computers and now the web =)

Hi everyone, im new to this website and I can honestly say that i am very excited for wats to come I believe that both a movie and a 5th season would be awesome!, i love reboot the stories the characters the action the viruses megabyte hexadecimal everything i have never seen a cartoon series that i've like more than this one. We have our bad guys our heroes our renegades i feel as if everything is just so complete its amazing that they came up with this from the beggining. i love computers, i'm always messing around with my computers at home and i believe in a way its real we have a whole other world inside our computers and in the internet Rainmaker has allot to work with. Ladies and Gentlemen, everyone, you all have my full support to get this thing up and running and im sure that when the new movie comes out or season it's gonna be just as great the 4 seasons that we have already seen. i wish there was something else we could do to speed up the process. i'm very excited.

I'm okay with the story starting over. I don't want the movies to wrap up what was left in season 4. I want a 5th season to do that.
If any sort of flashbacks were put into the movie from the series, I feel like mainstream audiences would be alienated and the story would slow down and become overly complicated.
In the movie, I want the same characters, the same overall dynamics and chemistry, but with even better storytelling, upgraded language, and improved designs. I want this to be something non-reboot fans can jump right into and be completely engaged in. Since the world of Reboot is so specific and rich, you HAVE to start from scratch and walk the audience though it in the beginning.
Don't make this another "TMNT" where only the fans would be satisfied. It'll be more successful and enjoyable if they take the existing characters and concept, which are already a win, and then run with it.

Don't listen to this person! We can't just throw the old continuity out the window! That said, the movie can't simply be references to old materials, since that would alienate new audiences. But embracing new fans doesn't mean rebooting ReBoot. It would even be possible to clear up the cliffhanger without being confusing to new fans. The movie could start with a big action scene involving Megabyte and the ABCs fighting the good guys. Opening like this gets the audience pumped, it introduces the characters and world without exposition, and for us fans, it clears up what happened after ol' Megabreath broke out and killed all those dudes. Look at it like practically every Bond movie. They almost all open with a big action scene that may or may not have anything to do with the rest of the plot, but it sets the tone of the film and tells us just who the characters are. For ReBoot, it can kill two birds with one stone by also clearing up a decade old cliffhanger.

I agree with both of you but one big issue that will definitely need to be explained is the graphics upgrade.
I know what you're thinking. "Why do the new graphics need to be explained?" Well it goes together with Moon rave's point about new technology. They are going to have to explain some kind of transition from the old tech to the new. Maybe with like an incoming upgrade or something, but I believe that the transition alone needs an explanation.
If the characters didn't discuss any change in looks or if voice actors are different, it would be a little odd for me, being a loyal ReBoot fan. Even if it is a small conversation or something in the movie, I still think they should include it.

They didn't explain the huge upgrade in graphics in season 3, and it didn't really bother me.

I agree 100%, Paradigms Lost really dropped the ball on making ReBoot comical and fun. I don't mean forced jokes like making the characters spout computer puns to a stupid degree. I know ReBoot did it themselves but never so much that it got ridiculous. And we had none of the comical relief that ReBoot had. I'd have loved to see Hack and Slash mess around or, y'know, a GAME. The games were a big part of the series and we had none in the comic. Very disappointing.
I agree with what Joey_Jojo_Jr said about picking up where we left off. It would be more of an insult to fans to not clear up the issues that we want to see cleared up than a help to bring new fans in. I honestly don't think the target should be new fans because it's the folks who have waited all these years who care.

I completely agree. It's like the episode with the game "dead before dawn". All together in just that one episode, they had pop-culture reference (evil dead, resident evil, etc.) and the quirky jokes in the middle of even the most serious of moments (i.e. Dot - "what kind of user would play a game like this?"...everyone looks at camera) you can't take that away, or it loses some of it's childish value, and becomes all TOO serious.
