I'm glad to see that you're backing off those three mistakes. I think those were the only things I really objected to. Over all, I think you're set up is the truest to the show, even though I think the story idea behind 2.0 is far more driving. It's a shame that you guys are competing cus I would love to see your team's faithfulness to Reboot combined with their concepts.
That said, I think it would be a really bad idea to go anywhere near Tron. People will already be comparing your set up to it, no reason to help solidify that comparison.
I like the idea of Gnosis, but maybe you should ditch the huge head idea all together and instead go with a sprite-type person. Gnosis reminds me also of the Borg queen and the old man from the Matrix, so why not go that route, instead of the big floating head?
I was originally leaning toward voting for another pitch, mainly because of the inclusion of aliens in your idea. Now that you've tossed that out however, I think you're on the right track.
Not only that, but I feel I have to say that you guys impress me most because you seem to have the most interest in seeing what your audience wants, which is something that's sorely lacking in the other teams' blogs. You've got a willingness to make something that's truly good that isn't blindsided by some ironclad artistic vision, and I truly dig that.
Now, get to work on those character designs. I can't wait to see how you improve upon them. ;)
"old man from the Matrix"-probably referring to The Architect. I'll have to agree with Askani, Gnosis does remind me of the Borg Queen, she would make a better model for the villain. (Since when was a Reboot villain ever a giant head?)
Anyways, thanks for the feedback on what you've learned, it's nice to know you had doubts about some of the concepts; it shows you're sane ;).
I also think that the idea of Gnosis, ( I think that is an awesome name by the way, as it means knolege or truth, if you didn't know that), is a little weird. I think it would be better if Gnosis were a collective of viruses working to completely take over the net.
Wow, so much goes on when I go away for awhile. I believe and I'm sure Wizzy Wig will second me on this, that interacting with the fans is paramount and that a take-it-or-leave-it approach is not what this whole process is about.
I think that if I believe one thing but everyone else sees it another way, then maybe I should think about altering my approach. Afterall we're not politicians and so we can change our minds based on what people say.
I have to concur that your interaction is the best thing you've got going. Recognizing your fanbase is important, not to mention arguably some of us know the show better than almost anyone else, since we're the obsessed fanboys. Kind of like how TV shows are starting to have wikis instead of FAQs because they know the fans can do a better job tracking the details than they can. We know these characters like the back of our hands, and we know what we're comfortable with. So it means the world to me that you guys recognize that.

Thought I just had on Gnosis that sums it up: "Pay no attention to that virus behind the curtain!" XD

I'm so glad you guys are tossing out the aliens idea. That was really the only "unsolid" thing you guys had in there.
