I think the Hunt should be like the flashbacks in Season 3, seeing the aftermath 1st makes you wonder what happened, thus more ambiguous as to who survives.

Then again, it would be more dramatic to see it unfold like Season 4's last eps.

I suppose in truth, I don't mind how they show it, as long as it's not cut completely from the show. Even if they do a reboot with whole new cast & plot, they should include their version of The Hunt.

Even though I find it inconceivable the idea of having my favorite series back without its original creators, if Rainmaker is so intent in creating a new, revamped series, they can sure try their luck at it, but they could also involve Gavin and his team in order to conclude Season 4 as they had originally planned. This way, old fans like myself would get the conclusion we all wanted so bad, and Rainmaker would still get to have its new hip series it wanted.

You can bet that Gavin & his team finished "My Two Bobs" knowing full well what was gonna happen next. I'm just sad they were not given the chance to do it. They amazed me at every single episode, and even though it's been about 10 years since the last episode, I'm still dying to find out what was gonna happen... and I keep hoping we will, through any possible medium.

The reason why Rainmaker doesn't seem to want to do anything about the hunt is probably because of new people who wouldn't know what it is. I say instead of going forward, then go backward! It would probably be easier and more interesting to have a movie or series or wahtever that tells of how our favorite heros and heroines came to be, and how some actually met.

i agree with you. they could do it in a few episodes. i mean the movies were only 4 episodes long. and that's all that was really left for the 4th season. it got reduced to 12 episodes. it'd be nice if they could pull the script out of the trash or integrate it into the movies (like you said without flashbacks).

Simply put, I agree with everyone (meaning Squall142) who wants to see The Hunt reach a conclusion. In my eyes, it could be done in 1 to 4 episodes, but it could indeed be a little long in the tooth if they make a whole movie about it. Flashbacks just aren't enough for something like this! Like Squall142 stated numerous times, this new Megabyte has powers that we don't know of yet, and we also don't know what he's been planning in the Web. Maybe this is what he was trying to ever since he exited the Web as the fake Bob (or Mega Bob, as I like to call him), and as said before, we don't know! As other know as well, the original writers were planning to make another 4 episodes after The Hunt was revealed, but as we all know, it didn't go that way, and unfortunately, I guess we have to live with that. Man, I've been going on about this forever, aren't I? :P So, to summarize: I really want to see the conclusion of The Hunt, but in 4 episodes or less. And of course: NO FLASHBACKS! :)

The Hunt would be so terrible to skip over. The cliffhanger needs to be fixed it would be terrible to see it just swept under the rug without explaining how each character survived and how they defeated Megabyte.

If we just introduce the new watchers to the show they won't have to wonder about anything. I mean the gap between season 2 and 3 and again with 3 and 4 was a great deal long, but it would be nice to see it done with ReBoot season 4 and the new season 5.

I agree. I've been waiting... what's it been? about 8 or 9 years to find out what happens during the hunt. I want to see just how far Megabyte can push Bob before Bob fights back (as opposed to trying to reprogram Megabyte). I want to see how Bob deals with the hunt. I want to see Matrix and Bob kick Megabyte's ASCII. Skipping the hunt takes an entire chunk out of the plot and would confuse newcomers to the series more. Think about it: They get intrigued, look up the old episodes, then find out the hunt was skipped. They will have a ton more questions. Quite personally, I would've appreciated the webcomic a lot more if we had seen the hunt instead of starting 2 hours later. It makes more sense if we see the hunt.

I don't have some *slavish devotion* to two words. I'm saying, we need to conclude it in a correct manner. Don't assume things.

We don't know for sure if these movies will be on the big screen or on T.V but it's doubtful that they would be on the Big screen so that leaves T.V. Before they broadcast the new movies, they can advertise it and repeat the show from Season One to Two.

Since late Season 2, the writers started using that Four episode arc, that's why I said one movie should be based on it.

I know the Hunt exists just to get more episodes ordered. Why is making a cliffhanger ending suddenly *blackmail* (Blackmail = to extort money (Or something else) from (a person) by the use of threats). I don't see how a cliffhanger is a *threat*. The writers got jerked around since 1994 with their Seasons (Depending on a show's contract, they will always get 13 to 24 episodes). ReBoot always was shaky with episodes from the get go. They wanted to try to secure their future of the show (Which sadly failed).

With this whole *Original Writers blackmailed CN* thing, someone said on a forum: *Cartoon Network is not the SOLE reason Season 4 ended on a cliffhanger. In fact, to this day people who were a part of it still remain tight lipped about what actually went down. All we know for sure is that it was a combination of issues that halted the series - none of which were ratings related. I believe the current puzzle suggest a fallout from the abandoned toy line prompted CN to pull reruns of the entire series in an afternoon (and much viewed) spot -placing it early mornings instead. Running out of money Mainframe's suits halted production of the series which was not getting exposure - Cartoon Network felt shafted since the company was not complying with their contract and pulled the show from the schedule.* So we still don't know what is fully going on.

Sure, there are some unresolved things from My Two Bobs but the main plot of that one was *Which is the real Bob?* and that part was concluded.

These movies won't hit theaters, that is certain. It's easy to show the show from beginning to end on T.V then air the movies to catch old viewers, and retell the story to new viewers, in an easy way. What the new episodes will ensue - we don't know at this point.

That's the thing Squall. Daemon Rising ended. It ended because they knew they were making another set of episodes, so they tied up that plot and they set up those new episodes at the end of Daemon Rising with the introduction of the second Bob. It was a new story the moment Bob showed up. Everything you need to know from Daemon Rising to understand My Two Bobs is summed up as 'There's a second Bob who suddenly appeared after The Resolution of A Major Threat, and no one is sure which is real.'

My Two Bobs, on the other hand, was the last project they were on contract for. So they DIDN'T FINISH IT. They didn't really resolve the plot, and ended on a serious cliffhanger, to try to blackmail CN into ordering more episodes. That backfired, time moved on, and there is no end to My Two Bobs. That's what 'The Hunt' would be, resolving the loose threads from the intentionally unfinished story. It wouldn't be a story in its own right. It'd be wrapping up loose ends from the previous, intentionally unfinished plot. And you could only enjoy watching those loose threads wrap up if you knew what was going on. NOTHING was resolved, and to enjoy a full resolution, of the sort fans are slavering for, you need the FULL story, all the set up for these unresolved threads. What you need is almost all the material from My Two Bobs.

Any movie has to introduce characters, and setting, background. But the STORY happens in front of you. You watch it progress. Explaining enough of the background to make sense of The Hunt would take up an unnecessary amount of film time, and basically mean redoing MTB to make sense.

It would work if the SERIES were restarting a year later. Maybe two. While it was still a known quantity, as an episode of an ongoing series on Cartoon Network, where you didn't shell out bucks to watch, and you could catch up on re-runs to figure out what was happening, where the writers could devote half an hour to a musical recap, knowing that you'd still have a chance to run plot in the other 7.5 hours of contracted animation... sure thing. But not when you have less than half an hour to grab an audience, and then perhaps another hour to resolve what you've laid out before them.

After six years, the only 'We' who've seriously been waiting are the diehard fans, and the only people who could benefit from The Hunt are those diehard fans. It would be nice to resolve for the diehards. It just wouldn't work for a new movie.

Now, as to what the sainted Original Writers wanted with the Hunt... Dude, all they wanted was to get the contract to make more ReBoot. It's that simple. "The Hunt" exists because they wanted to force CN into contracting for more episodes. I don't think the new team needs to be slavishly devoted to their outright blackmail, blatantly USING the fans.

Also, it's been six years. The diehard fans this move would supposedly placate have been building The Hunt up in their minds, writing fanfics about it, and slavering. NOTHING a new team writes will satisfy people who seriously spent six years going 'Man, when is ReBoot coming back? I want to see The Hunt.' The expectations are too high - as you prove with this slavish devotion to two words.

So here's the deal: no one's saying The Hunt should be ignored. But it's not the story for the movie. It's at most a vehicle for setting up the movie, or a source of flashbacks in the movie. Honestly, were I the one trying to pick up the reigns, I'd figure out the resolution, and fast-forward past it, piecing it in later if the movies took off, so I could tell a new story.

I think the difference with Daemon Rising and My Two Bobs is that the sudden arrival of the second Bob had absolutely nothing to do with Daemon and the plot of Daemon Rising - Daemon was defeated and thus, the story was resolved. The arrival of a second Bob at the end of Daemon Rising was introducing an entirely new story, which would become My Two Bobs.

The Hunt, however, is the conclusion of My Two Bobs, as Megabyte was essentially the villain of My Two Bobs, even if he was masquerading as the second Bob throughout the majority of the movie, and had yet to be defeated (or win, as the case may be). While the plot of Daemon Rising was resolved, nothing in My Two Bobs was resolved, whether it be the relationship between Bob and Dot or the conflict between our protagonist, Bob, and his antagonist, Megabyte. Rather, the story had just hit it's climax, with our hero, Bob, revealing the villain at the end of My Two Bobs and the final battle with said villain about to commence.

Therefore, the Hunt was, in my opinion, the conclusion of the pre-existing and unfinished story that My Two Bob's presented. Daemon Rising, on the other hand, finished it's story completely and then introduced a wholly new story at the very end that had nothing to do with the already defeated Daemon.
