The Hunt would be so terrible to skip over. The cliffhanger needs to be fixed it would be terrible to see it just swept under the rug without explaining how each character survived and how they defeated Megabyte.
If we just introduce the new watchers to the show they won't have to wonder about anything. I mean the gap between season 2 and 3 and again with 3 and 4 was a great deal long, but it would be nice to see it done with ReBoot season 4 and the new season 5.
Simply put, I agree with everyone (meaning Squall142) who wants to see The Hunt reach a conclusion. In my eyes, it could be done in 1 to 4 episodes, but it could indeed be a little long in the tooth if they make a whole movie about it. Flashbacks just aren't enough for something like this! Like Squall142 stated numerous times, this new Megabyte has powers that we don't know of yet, and we also don't know what he's been planning in the Web. Maybe this is what he was trying to ever since he exited the Web as the fake Bob (or Mega Bob, as I like to call him), and as said before, we don't know! As other know as well, the original writers were planning to make another 4 episodes after The Hunt was revealed, but as we all know, it didn't go that way, and unfortunately, I guess we have to live with that. Man, I've been going on about this forever, aren't I? :P So, to summarize: I really want to see the conclusion of The Hunt, but in 4 episodes or less. And of course: NO FLASHBACKS! :)
i agree with you. they could do it in a few episodes. i mean the movies were only 4 episodes long. and that's all that was really left for the 4th season. it got reduced to 12 episodes. it'd be nice if they could pull the script out of the trash or integrate it into the movies (like you said without flashbacks).
The reason why Rainmaker doesn't seem to want to do anything about the hunt is probably because of new people who wouldn't know what it is. I say instead of going forward, then go backward! It would probably be easier and more interesting to have a movie or series or wahtever that tells of how our favorite heros and heroines came to be, and how some actually met.
Even though I find it inconceivable the idea of having my favorite series back without its original creators, if Rainmaker is so intent in creating a new, revamped series, they can sure try their luck at it, but they could also involve Gavin and his team in order to conclude Season 4 as they had originally planned. This way, old fans like myself would get the conclusion we all wanted so bad, and Rainmaker would still get to have its new hip series it wanted.
You can bet that Gavin & his team finished "My Two Bobs" knowing full well what was gonna happen next. I'm just sad they were not given the chance to do it. They amazed me at every single episode, and even though it's been about 10 years since the last episode, I'm still dying to find out what was gonna happen... and I keep hoping we will, through any possible medium.
I think the Hunt should be like the flashbacks in Season 3, seeing the aftermath 1st makes you wonder what happened, thus more ambiguous as to who survives.
Then again, it would be more dramatic to see it unfold like Season 4's last eps.
I suppose in truth, I don't mind how they show it, as long as it's not cut completely from the show. Even if they do a reboot with whole new cast & plot, they should include their version of The Hunt.
