i think the ctrl alt delete are more the secret ploce of the styem thier like nasty becouse they do the drity work . bob;s the heros figure head thier using to look all nobel if they already had thier own shiney superhereo they wouln't need him
I agree with most of what you said. But as for the Systems Keys, I think I like Rek's versions better because they're better to look at. I mean, like he said, they ought to look like super heroes or something since Serenity is supposed to be a paradise, and the creepy look just doesn't fit there.
BTW, That second pitch should be coming out sometime today.
Shadowbolt - Oh, wait, is Uncle Bill the guy on the top of the first page of sequential art? At first I thought that might have been him, but it doesn't say either way, so I wasn't sure.
Wow, Uncle Bill does look really nice and happy and not sinister in the slightest, which I think is a good thing; if they match his outward personality to his appearance, it'll be even better (but, knowing me, I'll probably be super-depressed when he's revealed to be evil...it'll be like King Bradley from Fullmetal Alchemist all over again! Or Maxwell Lord from DC Comics...although, I still refuse to believe that Max was evil, but that's a whole other story, lol).
I also liked the designs for the System Keys, Control, Alt, and Delete, in the Sequential Art, and I'd be interested to learn more about Carnivore. However, Bob, Dot, and Enzo are still way off for me. As an avid protester of Gorilla-Bob, Bob seemed even worse in the Sequential Art than he did in the art on the launcher (if that's at all possible, lol), and I agree full-heartedly with Shadowbolt's comments on Dot; none of it really works with her character.
I know a lot of people like the interpretation of Enzo in 2.0, but I don't like imagining him as a vandal (or Dot being his accomplice, which perhaps is even worse); I just feel that a good kid like Enzo would come up with a more heroic and constructive way to rebel against the system than resorting to becoming a street punk. Again, though, I think I'm in the minority in regard to Enzo's characterization, but I hope he retains some of his more youthful and idealistic qualities and doesn't go too far down the path toward Matrix territory (although, Matrix probably wouldn't resort to graffiti, either...although I'm sure he'd find a lot of other ways to vandalize with his gun, lol).
Oh, and btw, Shadowbolt, thanks a bunch! The information about Uncle Bill is much appreciated! :)
for bob thiers a huge differnce between different and awful. when i saw matrix the frist time i liked him he was awesoem and badass thsi new bob just looks likes ass its not that hes differnt that bothers me its that he just not very good as he is now. also enzo becoming older and storng was a clever plot device he had to change to be able to fight megabyte and free everyone. as fare as i can tell the only reason bob looks like he could bench a truck is couse the artist thouht it was a good idea at the time its totaly unessery to anything writen about the chacter concept which i do like
Question - Where did you see the Uncle Bill design? I'm curious to see it, but I can't seem to find it on the Reboot Launcher (all there is is a big question mark for his picture in the bios and I don't see him in any of the other concept drawings, like for the worlds, or in the sequential art, unless I'm really stupid and I'm completely missing something, lol!).
Anyway, great blog; I don't agree with all your points, but you present your arguments and opinions very well! It was a very interesting read! :)
