I don't really see it as that bad of a thing, really. As a few people have said before, they aren't making the new version for the old fans exclusively. They're bringing in a new audience to the fold and trying to garner the interest of the new generation. And that new generation probably doesn't know about this whole thing happening just yet, so they are spoiler free.

Besides, I think all we're really doing is helping to plan out the set up and solidify the character and plot foundations. First half hour, we know everything that happens. After that, who knows what else they do?

At least, I think that's what we're doing. So I don't really see anything wrong with it, no.

I've been back and forth on this one.

At first, when I was getting frustrated at the idea of a 'different' Reboot, I started thinking that I should just sit back and wait for everything to come out and then see whether or not I like it. But I couldn't resist jumping in and getting my hands dirty.

Whether or not I like the outcome of all of this, I think that this is a unique opportunity to get involved with something rather than just sit on the sidelines. It does take away the surprise element of everything, but I think it is worth it for the experience to be involved in the process.

Well I wasn't talking about the whole Old versus New ReBoot debate so those comments are confusing me... sorry.

Well I'm just kind of wondering what your opinions are on the other issue so keep 'em coming! Heh.

SheaKoshan: *First half hour, we know everything that happens. After that, who knows what else they do?*

I've thought about this issue a lot, but concluded that Shea's comment above is likely the real truth of the matter. Here's to many more ReBoot stories! (hopefully one of the will be Arrival)

yes, I've thought of this too. But on the other hand, it's the price we pay for getting the best Reboot possible. And after all, it's not like they're telling us eeeverything... right? :)

If someone doesn't want to know what will happen, he doesn't have to read the pitches. ;-)

The pitches are just the idea, not the bible for the comic or the series. Things will change, probably in very significant ways, between the pitch being accepted and the start of production. Certain realities will set in, certain things will prove untenable...

How much can TRUELY change in the course of 3 weeks? We'll be fighting to keep what we like and getting rid of what we do and a lot of that was done in the first week.
