My stance on fandoms is that while it's nice to give nods to the older fans, the newer incarnations of cartoons we love as kids are for kids now. We are part of the secondary audience now able to follow along with the adult undertones that hopefully remain a part of the Reboot squared.
Azalea - Probably. How else would Rainmaker and Z2H's make a profit? I see no ads on this site except for that Google one. I am 100% in support for bring the original writers!!
LadyLazuli - Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Seeing Bob turn into Megabyte totally shocked my mind and it made my mind float into the middle of the room and slap me! Okay, none of that happened but it sure felt like it haha.
If my blog actually didn't crash every time I tried to post, I would have asked the very same thing. I'm glad others are worried about this...
I loved the surprises they gave us in Season 4 (well, almost all of them) and if I had know them ahead of time, I truly would have had no fun at all. I usually don't mind spoilers, but here it's downright wrong for me. I hope there is still room for lots of unknowns in these scripts when we're finally out of the picture as far as concept brainstorming goes.
There's got to be a way for us to still be surprised on many aspects of the comic/movies. I hope they don't tell us *everything*!
I am now hearing we have to pay for the Web comic. Is this true? Also I think the original writers that are the winners should do the movie since they have more intimate knowledge with the product.
Aly - Once the winner is picked, I don't know if they will still be listening to our ideas. I think they may actually start on the comic. If it does make a good profit, the three movies will be done and I don't know if the original writers of the pitch winner will write it. I'm hopeing for the original writers personally.
How much can TRUELY change in the course of 3 weeks? We'll be fighting to keep what we like and getting rid of what we do and a lot of that was done in the first week.
The pitches are just the idea, not the bible for the comic or the series. Things will change, probably in very significant ways, between the pitch being accepted and the start of production. Certain realities will set in, certain things will prove untenable...

Yes, I believe fans should be involved in their favorite show or shows, but you just don't want to go overboard, either.

Oh yeah. I guess that can happen to rek.
