I don't think they were actually proposing this, I think it was an idea for a potential happy ending after the story ends. I thought it would be something mentioned in passing in the story.
Hm, it could easily be said that the guardians had some time before Megabyte's forces became noticeable. Perhaps these forces were gathering in secret, all the loyal preparing for a highly organized multi-system takeover. Then boom, Megabyte gives the order, and there's a big surprise. It's possible. It's happened before. ;)
Well, we can assume that some time will have passed since The Hunt - and that Enzo has survived a possibly harrowing captivity at the hands of Megabyte. That alone should mature him some, and I don't see any reason why a 1.0 sprite shouldn't attend, assuming it's a school that starts the training at a young age.
Another question is - since we've basically gone directly from the Daemon devastation to the Megabyte devastation of the net, just when did the Academy get started up again? And who's around to teach there?
My question is when would Enzo be going to the academy? He's only 01 right now and hasn't really had the experience that the original Enzo (matrix) had. The original Enzo was older, 10, and had a lot f time in games with Bob and Dot and even on his own a few times. The current Enzo is younger, only 01, and hasn't matured all that much, though they forced him to at the endo f Daemon Rising only to undo that maturity in My Two Bobs.
GuardianEnzo: You many good points about Matrix and his future. I'm working on V3 right now so you caught me at a good time.
WeBViRuS & etoile37: This conversation is a perfect reminder that I won't be able to please everyone. I just hope everyone knows that, once it gets onto the screen, most things are a lot cooler than they were on paper.
etoile37: I'm not so sure about that. Bob has seen that Matrix is more than impulsive on several occasions. Heck off-screen deaths for guardians skyrocketed once Matrix started firing. Bob has to feel emotions about that, yet there wasn't enough air time to go into it, I think, and various other things. If Bob were to shrug off all evidence of what he's seen Matrix to be, it would not only be foolish of him as a character, it would be downright reckless of him as an upholder of the law.
What cop walks up to a murderer (who directly disobeyed his superior officer when lives hung in the balance, mind you) and says =You'd make a great cop one day.= Keep that one out of my hometown. ;D
About that Guardian Enzo, I like the suggestion of the guardians hiring him for a gorilla squad of special forces. So he'd more be a marine-like status, while Enzo would be of a cop. One is stricter and one is more rough and tumble. I think that would fit both of them well.
There would also be different training facilities for this. After all, you don't see army men training at a police academy, which is what I always pictured Bob to be from.
honestly, i just can't wait for V3. i feel that all the major kinks have been worked out, now it's just fine tuning or changing the odd thing. Great job Arrival team, and thanks for the fans interaction that i haven't gotten from the other teams. You guys, and only you guys, make me feel like I'm actually involved in my favourite show, ReBoot.
