For me, ReBoot always had something most other shows didn't. ReBoot had an incredible amount of originality. Of course when i was younger i just loved it because it was just awesome in general. But as I watch them now, i've realized that all these other shows out there just dont measure up to ReBoot. The characters are such a work of art, not just through animation, but through their personalities. They're just so easy to connect with and easy to love. When I look back to my memories, some of the best times are when i was watching ReBoot.

This is gonna sound really cheesy, but really all these comments made by everyone makes me both nostalgic and giddily happy because people virtually feel the way I do. The story of ReBoot was amazingly developed and original, but the thing that I personally loved the most about it were the characters, how you could connect to them and how they grew/adapted depending on what happened around them!

You don't see that much nowadays, which is a shame really. A lot of producers/writers/directors could learn a thing or two from ReBoot.

Also, the voice actors, every last one of 'em, were simply phenomenal!

I think what made Reboot so special to me was the fact that it was something different. REALLY different. It wasn't about animals or "people". I really started to get into computers when the show aired (around 10-11) and it let me know it was ok to be a geek, to like computers and made me hope that there really was a mainframe out there.

    Viva La Mainframe!

I'm not sure how far the series was along when I first started watching ReBoot, but it was on Cartoon Network at the time so... season 2? Anyways...

There was just so many things to love about ReBoot. it was creative and funny. I always loved how the writers manage to work real technical terms into everything, it made it seem more believable. And you really got attached to the characters. I had many a bad dream after Bob was launched into the net... hey I was like 6, cut me some slack.

Enzo was my favorite though, a lonely kid who became the guardian he dreamt of being. I was always rooting for him, right from the start.

Enzo - aside from Bob and Megabyte and... hell, every one of the characters! - was definitely my top favourite.

I liked how he grew from a dorky, lonely, energetic kid, to a guardian and then finally who he became as Matrix. As you were, I was rooting for him as well. ^^

My main drive to ReBoot when I was little were the characters. They've just got so much back story and so much emotion. Which is something you don't see in cartoons, even these days.

My fiance and I recently watched the whole series again, and we did it in a matter of a few days. We were that addicted. Even now, being as old as it is, it's still so eye catching and exciting.

Definitely agree with you there. I wish I could re-watch the whole series again, but unfortunately I can't seem to find any DVDs or VHS or... anything of the episodes. But I suppose I could always try Youtube?

But, aside from that, glad to hear you and your fiance enjoyed re-watching it. That just goes to show that, no matter how old you are, it is NEVER a bad thing to enjoy cartoons.

I fell in love with ReBoot because of the (at the time) new and exciting CGI graphics. I was totally hooked from day 1, and I LOVED the inside jokes and pop culture references. During the first season I was 14 and I didn't catch all of the jokes and references, but by the 4th season I caught it all. ReBoot has universal appeal for girls as well as guys. My friends and I were all crushing on Bob!
I'd love to see Bob and Dot finally get married, and maybe Matrix and AndrAIa as well. It would be fantastic if little enzo could become a tween, and Mouse and even Ray Tracer were to have a place in any future series or the ReBoot movie. Whatever happens, ReBoot represents a part of my growing up years, and I'd like to see the characters remain true to their original personalities and physical appearances. Change the clothes and update the look of the 'city', sure. But don't change the characters' personalities or faces. And DON'T change (original) Bob's hair!! :)

I definitely agree with you about the change bit. They can change their clothes and update the city, but one mistake writers/new directors of an existing series should never do [in my personal opinion, it's fine if others disagree with me ^^] is change the characters' personalities or faces UNLESS it's a gradual change that happens through-out the series for a LEGIT reason!

And yes, Bob's hair rocked ;D

This show is my childhood. It reminds me of my innocence and my love for it grows. The characters were amazing and I loved this. I feel like they are real even to this day and this is why I will watch every episode over and over. The relationship between matrix and andraia is what really has hooked me to tell you the truth. We saw their relationship grow and still to this day I need to see it continue to grow. I'm no longer a child but there are times I wish mainframe was somewhere I could escape to and be apart of. I sound like a complete loser but this show represents alot to me. Maybe because it is something entwined with my childhood innocence. I miss this show so very much.

i feel the same way. I even still have dreams about the show and characters and meeting them. that's how much it meant to me. i'm much older and i still wish that there was a getaway like mainframe also.

there are two things that made it special for me, I was around 9 or 10 maybe younger when it first aired i remember enzo's birthday party i begged my parents for a guitar for a month after that i never did get it but i have one now and every time i play i picture my self as megabyte rocking out on stage

the second is the whole third season i was going through some trouble and seeing what matrix and andrea went through really did help

i was very young when i first watched reboot, i guess i was 7 years old or something, then i totally forgot about it. the only thing i remembered was "renegade traveling through web looking for someone" and that's all. then, two years ago my brother found a short clip from reboot on youtube, that's what got me into it now.

Since then I have managed to acquire all seasons and watch them. Now, i'm too old for season 1, it's a bit childish (not in the negative meaning, it's just it doesn't have the same appeal for me as an adult). season 2 is getting better and better, but season 3 is the best, especially the whole travel through web (travel through unknown, really boosting adrenaline levels ;d)

Yeah, I agree. Season 1 definitely has a "kiddie" feel to it. Howver, that's the stuff I remember the most from my childhood! XD I guess it's good for all ages, and that's what makes it awesome. ^^

I loved it because it was the most advanced CGI toon
on the planet. Plus it had unique characters and it increased
my time on the computer. LOL

I'm pretty sure my interest in computers spawned from ReBoot.

What made it special for me is that it grew. It was the first cartoon series I had watched where the characters got older and evolved as the series progressed.

Had me transfixed and totally dispensed with convention.

    Truely unique.
