None so far. We are getting the Box set, so that is a plus and there is going to be a new art book. But Rainmaker has mostly been silent. They have been pretty active in other areas though. :/
Well its very exciting to see something new (as long as that is not Bob-Don't fix taht which isn't broken Rainmaker). Soooooo? Any news since? I for one have been waiting for over two years for this movie and been a fan since it was shown on CITV UK. Long enough huh?
I saw this on YouTube as well, and I think it looks disappointing. I feel it doesn't look and feel like the ReBoot I know... and the smile on that guy's face kind of freaks me out. PLEASE, FOR ALL THINGS GOOD, DON'T TELL ME THIS IS BOB!!! Sorry, couldn't help myself :P
And I'm not impressed about the animation, by the way. It looks a bit like the season 4 "look" with a few things added or removed. If this guy is going to be in the new movie, I hope Rainmaker will give him another, less freaky, smile. And don't let this be Bob!
Being a considerably huge Bob fan, I am going to be thoroughly disappointed if this is the new Bob. It will ruin the whole series for me, considering that he won't even resemble his charming-16-bit self!!
Perhaps a new character for all the new kids in the audience? I mean it HAS been what? 12 years since "ReBoot" was last on the air? xx; I feel old suddenly...
Otherwise, it looks neat. I have to say I preferred the more "realistic" look of the Sprites in ReBoot. This guy looks more like something that came out of Dreamworks-- more squash'n'stretch. That might work elsewhere, but there's ALREADY an established look and style that we all love and expect.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it indeed. The style they had in ReBoot was certainly unique and interesting -- to me at least. Even if they do happen to go for a new style, I hope they at least try to retain some of the old style as well.
All in all, I hope at least the character's personalities will stay in-tact. That was the one thing I loved the most about the show; the characters and how they changed, heck, even how some of them didn't!
Zakk9090 - I don't know what other project Rainmaker is working on that would say "Loading Guardian Version 1.0". And then have a picture of a purplish man that is well..."loading".
I don't mind the art style. They can make it anime style for all I care. But if this is Bob, he better have his dreadlocks. That's all I'm saying.
Man most people here complain waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.
The animation looks just fine. Great even. I can totally understand people wishing the artists would stick with the original art style. However it's only natural that an animation studio such as Rainmaker would opt for improved technologies currently available that can be applied to their works.
Also, aside from a few guesses you honestly can't tell anything about whatever project this animation came from. We have one face, a "compiling up" animation, some text, and some background. So what? That's not nearly enough to draw any solid conclusions, so quit complaining about the art style or the animation particulars. Be grateful that work is still being done on ReBoot in general.
I hope when they think reboot "ReBoot" for the next generation that they don't forget that ReBoot is the story of Bob really. You can't have ReBoot without Bob... I mean they had a small stint where he was gone, but that was still great because we all loved Bob so much we just HAD to keep watching to find out what would happen to him in the end.
I don't know if this is Bob... but if this ReBoot is Bob-less well I'll be a little less interested. I still have to support the franchise though... it was brilliant and there is always the chance this new one could be amazing as well.
I'm not going to get bent out of shape though about a 5 second snip of what the studio is working on. I just hope they really don't drop the ball on this and alienate their old fans in an attempt to jazz up the franchise and reboot it for the next generation. If they please the old fans at least those fans will spread the love onto the new viewers.

I'm going to be straight to the point. If that is Turbo or Bob I am not buying it.

Agreed, this Guardian looks way more like Turbo than anyone else with the blond/chrome hair and that haircut.

I just hope that isn't supposed to be Bob...

I whole heartedly agree with you there, Rapunzel!

The problem is that we haven't received any new knews so we don't know what this is. So we are a bit worried.
Also, the fact that we can't tell who this is is worrying in itself. Even when He-Man was redone it still looked like He-Man.

Hear, hear.
Bob IS ReBoot. He is also full of Win and Awesome.
I guess he couldn't keep the dreads forever but...well, that guy might not be Bob (I hope).
