Professor WhizzyWig here. Well... we won. Woot! Since you all know I'm AWESOME at long blog posts, I figured it was time for a nice round-up of the contest. Let me begin with the congratulations...
Yay for the artists! Endian, Ale Aragon, Enzo, and Divineroseboot. These guys really went over the top with their wild submissions. I guess I'll be working with you guys, eh? Meeting onMonday! In my office! I don't care if you live in Hawaii!
Yay for the fans! That's every one of you who posted a fanart, a fanfic, a blog, a comment, and/or a rating - and, in most cases, all five. This was an ascii-load of fun wasn't it?
Yay for us! Well, seriously... Shaun (smartens) was incredibly prolific. He probably did more actual hours of work on this project than anyone else on our team (well, maybe it just seems that way to an artistically retarded sort like myself). Kelly (Vectorya) wasn't with us long but she helped to craft our logo, our art watermarks, our internal powerpoint pitch, and some poster stuff that we didn't end up using. Of all of us, Shea (On-FireWire) probably stuck his neck out the most, being the guy who had to face many of our competitors on a daily basis, since most of them work at Rainmaker. He also defended us from the usual scandals that tend to develop during these kinds of affairs. THAT's what a Producer does, and I hope he continues to. I'm terrible at that crap.
And what the heck, I might as well blow my own horn for a second. I spent probably thousands of hours reading and responding to posts, both here and on Java Hut, and, darn it, I know I worked hard for the win. I really enjoyed writing this concept and I know that, given some time to work on it, it will be an awesome story. That makes it all seem just sooo sweet. Here's hoping I don't screw it all up. :|

No, you should toot your own horn majorly. You and Smartens did the out-in-the-open work and owned the fanbase. Don't worry about the comic, I'm sure you and everyone on Team Arrival will produce something we all snatch off the shelves once it hits paper.

Wow, that's a lot of posts, incredible work guys. I guess WW will be busy in the kitchen. Circular binome shaped cookies perhaps?
I'll second all those comments and add that WhizzyWigs fan involvement was well beyond expectations and it motivated me to step up to the blog plate as well. Before this whole process began I wasn't sure what to expect and wasn't much of a blogger. However once you ingage with people who are as passionate and dedicated as the ReBoot fans, it becomes impossible to disengage, nor would I wish to do so.
From the Art side, I was intent on giving this my all and I'm pleased that the rest of the Arrival team went that extra mile as well. Knowing that WW was going to take care of things on the story side ment that I could concentrate exclusively on the art and vis versa.
Thanks again to all the fans and contributors out there, your feedback will not be forgotten as we move forward with this process and bring ReBoot back in the biggest way possible.
Wish we could all go out for drinks!

Yes, I was wondering about Franco's involvement. Can't wait to see how this all turns out. Mainly, I can't to see how four artists (or more) will all work together on one project... :)
