ReBoot

So this only took me forever and a day to finish.  :P My last blog entry was asking for opinions so I could redesign the 2.0 pitch's Bob and Dot, which I started on right away- but the very next night something unknown struck me and I was pretty horribly sick.  So it's taken me a bit to get back into the swing of things. 


I realize  the 2.0 pitch is pretty much dead in the water at this point anyway, but I was determined to follow through, dernit.  XD; So, here it is, with further explanation to follow.

 

I know, I know- he looks a little too young.  I think it's an issue of his jawline, which I didn't figure out until it was far too late.  u.u Apologies for that inaccuracy~


Anyway, about the outfit: I scrapped a few ideas, but it's pretty similar to what I was planning out in my last entry.  Basically, it's a "prison uniform" sort of outfit, that's meant as a way for the Serenity OS to label whomever it deems a threat to the system.  Dot would be wearing something similar.  This way, the characters can be discredited and generally shunned in the way I think the pitch writers originally intended... but without the extreme of turning them into gorillas and little girls.  :D


I guess it's important to mention that before Bob starts to rebel against the OS, he'd be wearing his spiffy white uniform.  There's a bunch of great fanart examples of that already up in the viewer.  X3


One of the things I was originally going to do was inscribe a warning label of sorts on his chest.  I ended up throwing out that idea, but Rek also had this cool idea of a circle of yellow text floating around their center of gravity.  So I do have an alternate version showing that.  It's essentially just a beam of light; their arms and whatever other objects could pass through it without problem.  I'm really not sure which version I like better. 


So, there you have it. Feel free to critique or give suggestions, but bear in mind at this point there's not much I'm really going to do about it. XD;
