There was a playstation game for Reboot and it had several scenes not from the original series. I never played the game, but I recently came across it on youtube. It looks like a prequel episode of the show.
It's been awhile since I've seen the show. I'm wondering if they ever included the game's episode into the regular series. Has anyone played the game and what was the game about?

The game was definitely... how shall we say... obscure.
I cannot recall the exact details of the storyline, but I believe it was written by Electronic Arts, and therefore was never deemed part of the show.
The gameplay... sucked. It was such a cool concept but the controls were a little difficult, and really, the elements were unrealistic (you shot binomes using glitch).
The rendered videos were AMAZING. I don't want to give anything away, as you can still get the game on eBay relatively cheap, and PS1 emulation is easily doable now.
In terms of timeline, it was a bit of a prequel. The only point that defines it is little frisket.
Honestly, from one fan to another, the game is really difficult, but in a sort of fun way. For $20, buy it and play it. Even if you hate the game, it's a pretty cool item to own!

I bought the game a long time ago, when ReBoot was being aired on Toonami and before Season 4 was aired in the US. It was very confusing, and very difficult, but there was one aspect I always liked. I used to spend plenty of time turning on the infinite health and flight cheat and float around the level that takes place at Floating Point Park, while it was on the inside of some tornado (?).
I think I was so interested in this part because it was the only level where you really had free range to float around like on the show (albeit you were limited to Floating Point Park). The other levels were usually closed in and you only had a few good jumps in your board.

I've seen most if not all the cut scenes on youtube. They were excellent! Can't say the same about the game though =/ It's too hard! I think I gave up on level 3 XD. I agree with Xbrav, it's pretty cool item to own!

Be careful if you get motion sickness easily, I couldn't finish the game yet.
How I got my copy can't be discussed because I've got it from somewhere close to home, so close, that you can smell that java.
The environments I've seen so far is .... interesting. An interesting interpretation of what Mainframe would be like actually being in there. I'm sure that interpretation is highly inaccurate tho, seeing that one worm popping out from the Data Sea in this one sector. Heh.

Played it, Beat it, alittle disappointed by it.
A classic example of a great show turned it to a cheap, mass-produced game we've all come to know and expect from sony.
On a positive note, the plot and cut-scene animation were so top-notch they almost distract from the controls, weapons, graphics, and other massive flaws down right episode quality stuff!

Played it, or at least tried, and wound up relying on someone else, simply because I don't cheat.

Sorrta a spoiler but i had to turn on the cheat for unlimited glitch energy and better hovercrafting. I never did finish the game but i plan on that once i get the dvd set.

The cut-scenes were amazing, yes. but i think they were made only for the game storyline itself, which then had nothing to little to do with the shows storyline. (besides, i think the game was made when the BS&P was still strong, so the dark storyline would have definitely not been allowed to have been an episode.)

I believe it served as a prequel to Season 1, because it explained that Hack, Slash and Scuzzy were once one being, believe it was Smash or something to that effect. The problem with the story was it was dark like season 3, put couldn't have been aired at the time & a prequel would have confused people when there was so much already happening in Season 1 & 2.
The main problem was that the gameplay itself was said to be terrible, especially the controls to move, yet the cutscenes were the same quality as the show and the rides.
Also, it was created in short supply, so not many were ever made or found in great condition for 2nd hand/preowned.

I also heard that even though it was a prequel, it was non-cannon to the series. It seemed like it could be tied into it, but the storyline was suppose to be separate from the show.
