I don't know if anyone in Rainmaker is reading this, but then again that is the point of this post.
One question I want to ask Rainmaker is this: Are you still listening to the fans?
Since the comic has ended, we haven't heard anything from you guys. The movie news section has not been updated nor do we know where this movie stands. All we have been given is a point system and your word that you are still working on the movies.
I don't know when the movies are supposed to come out, but the fact I haven't heard anything worries me. The only trailer we have seen is the one with a game cube dropping and that is it. We don't know what characters are in the movie, what it is about. And that is not good.
What is especially not good is the fact that Disney is releasing a sequel of Tron which is set to come out soon.
What I wonder is have you read the fans input on this site? The last thing you want is someone to say that the ReBoot movie looks and feels exactly like Tron.
What set ReBoot apart was it's tongue-in-cheek style, as well as the pop culture refrences and computer jargon. ReBoot was about a world inside a computer. It is getting a little hard to tell if you guys are listening to us when we say that.
I understand you don't want to tell us everything but can you at least give us updates on the movie? What you don't want to do is post information right before the movie comes out.
That is all we ask.

I'm wondering the same thing. I've been searching the net occasionally for any details on updates, but I don't know if I should bother.
It's not like this community is stale either. There are still many fans, and new fans, which have come for the community and the hopes of any progress reports. A little info would be nice. Tell us the cast, or throw us a screen shot or something. gosh. :V

Well, since this is posted, I'd like to ask a few questions to Rainmakers.
1. Any news update to this website, other than the new point system?
2. Any news on the franchise itself? Is ReBoot considered a franchise?
3. How about a website redesign or tweaking. Nothing fancy. Maybe a classic ReBoot video clip.
4. How about a contest or sweepstakes. Something like creating the next game cube. What game should it be?
That's all I can think of. Any response is fine. REALLY, anything response is fine.

I like to think that the fact the site is updated at all means that they are still working on it, even if progress is slow. Still, it would be nice if there was at least one person involved with the actual project who posted regularly on the site.

I completely agree with what you have to say. I've been dying for some new updates and a list of voice actors and what not. The only thing I've seen is the teaser trailer and the test guardian.
I know sometimes things for movies, especially animated movies, run a little slow, but I think this is quite ridiculous. I remember first hearing about the movie at least 2, 3, maybe 4 years ago. The teaser trailer just came out last October. By now, there should be a cast or a REAL trailer.
I only say this because I'm a video editor and writer for fun and I what I've been taught is to meet demand and have good deadlines but to also make what people see good. I can understand the situation of some things having to be pushed back, but for this long? To me, it sounds like ReBoot doesn't mean that much to you guys at Rainmaker if you're just putting it off for another day.

It sounds like that. That is why I have mix feelings about the movie.
Part of me has the feeling that after the movie they will be done with ReBoot. At this point I don't know how to feel about that.
If that is the case we could keep trying untill we get someone who realizes ReBoot is a gem and wants to do it right.
Or we can live off of fanfiction.

I have that feeling too, if they care about ReBoot they NEED to care about our opinion too. We're the people who are supposed to be supporting it and spreading the word if WE aren't confident about it then how are new people going to? Plus, I think the fact that immediately after the comic concluded it looked like they were quitting the project entirely because there was no word on anything new. It doesn't seem to me that giving the fans information is their priority. If they are doing work, I think we should know about the progress.
