ReBoot back in the UK? Please?

1 Like This

Hey guys. Im 16 and live in the UK.I've been a fan of ReBoot ever since i can remember. My parents recorded some of the episodes on VHS for me when i was 1 and they also got me 2 figures. I've had them since forever. Basically, Im sad that ReBoot isnt shown in the UK at all and that UK fans dont really get much.Im not sure rain-maker know how much of a goldmine ReBoot is. I've shown it to a couple of my friends (season 1 and 2) And they said that the show had really good graphics and was completely amazing, their faces when i told them it was created in 1994 was so funny.  I think that ReBoot would do fairly well in the UK, but, the reason it was so amazing back 10 years ago was because it was fully cgi, and they were the only show with that. But now the wow factor wont be as great due to all shows being in cgi now. But i still feel that there is another generation of children in the UK who would love this show. For kids are very computer based these days, and would understand the computer jokes more too. Tell me what you think. Thanks for your time =D
(sorry for any spelling or grammar errors)

I agree, and I think alot of people would agree with you all over the world about their own respective countries. The funny thing is, ReBoot was highly computer oriented in its themes, and it was brought out at a time when computers and the net weren't as big as they are now, so i think the youth of today would almost get a bigger kick out of it than, say, my generation (I'm 25). Not to mention, have you seen kid's shows today? Yikes. I would've rather had my little brother raised on stuff like ReBoot, looney tunes, and what not, than to have him raised on the mind numbing garbage of today.

agreed...it's been mentioned in this forums already but REBOOT DOESN'T TALK DOWN TO KIDS that's the best part...and i don't think looney tunes or animaniacs or freakazoid did either (awesome shows all T-T)

I'd love to see ReBoot back on TV, but I honestly don't think the first two seasons would hold up with today's standards. There are so many fully CGI shows nowdays that completely overshadow those seasons as far as quality goes (I know technology and time has everything to do with it). I honestly don't think the original ReBoot would do well, unfortunately.

I totally agree with you, Maxo452! I'm 17 and I've also loved ReBoot ever since I can remember. I live in The Netherlands, and the series only showed here for a year or three - maybe a little longer. And if that wasn't disappointing enough, season 4 didn't air at all here. If I could go to Rainmaker, then I would say: "C'mon guys, there are ReBoot fans all over the globe and it could be worth a goldmine for you! Just put all existing episodes (season 1, 2, 3, 4) on a DVD or BlueRay with great graphics and you'd make a lot of people very, very happy. That's the first step to earning the fans' trust! The creation of the WARNING, INCOMING MOVIE can wait after that... just earn our trust first!"

    Anyone agree?

Completely agreed - I can tell the same story. I've just downloaded every single episode in the highest quality and am burning them to DVDs, so that I can keep the ReBoot magic with me wherever I go xD

I agree - ReBoot even beats out most of the shows kids watch today. Sure, might not be as good a quality, but the storyline is so much more entertaining and isn't mind numbing as spongebob, johnny test, flapjack, etc....
I've actually showed my siblings ReBoot awhile back on youtube. ( I have 5, with ages from 3 to 12 ) And when they watched it, they were hooked. They asked if they can watch the next episode and the next... When they saw the last episode, eventually, they were kinda dissapointed. But I told them they were making movies of it now, and they were all jumpy with excitment lol. So i have to say, if they were able to watch an old cartoon with graphics that aren't as good as todays, many other kids would enjoy this show to.

....And sometimes, when I babysit my youngest sister who is 3, I ask her if she would like to watch something. She says yes, and i ask what?...
    ...She says, "Bob!".

The only show that could give it competition is Avatar the last Airbender and The legend of Kora, and they aren't even the same kind of entertainment. Sadly there are very few high quality shows airing right now as hollywood seems to aim for the few who have no taste.

I think if Reboot aired before Avatar that could help the raitings and if it was previewed during the commercials of Avatar that would help, because Avatar has a big fanbase and huge viewing.

back to what was being said earlier, Reboot can be put back on the air in 90% of its originality by just re-doing all, if not, most of the textures. Check out what hi-res textures did for ocarina of time.
Also I just want to get slow food and try to talk to Al..........WHAT!!!!!LMAO

I find it ironic that Reboot was cancelled twice both in the US and UK. I always loved the one liner in Season's 2 finale, "It's the ABC's, they've turned on us!" "Treacherous dogs!"

Only it should have been ITV (or what it used to be called) since they cancelled it at the end of season 2 but after 18 months, they brought back season 3. Yet they cut it after the characters got to the net.

As much as I would love to see the show on TV over here, I would prefer the show on dvds over here. Just be easier to watch it when you want and no annoying txt or channel logo.

I say this since the only channel that ever had the classic/new brilliant shows got replaced with something that should have stayed in the bin. Cartoon Network, toonami, Anime Central, Fox Kids, Jetix. One by one fell, even-though most never got to finish/conclude the shows.
