the leveling system

so i went to someone else's profile that says that they just reached level 3, and they have 100 less exp than i do, but i'm still at level 2. does anyone know why that is? is there something i need to do so that i can level up? Just wondering...

Wierd.. All I can think is that it's taking time showing that you've reached a new level.

oh. alright. well it confuses me too. they say the point system will be for something. maybe it'll be buying stuff for your avatar. thanks though.
