The Next Chapter Has Begun
As per its “official” status, ReBoot.com will be your destination for all things related to the new film. From relaunch to release, we will be posting fresh news, information and exclusive content right here. Here are a few things to get you started.
If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to pop open the epic webcomic that was the first new material created as part of the relaunch. Over a span of 20 weeks, Rainmaker released fresh installments of a new story set in the ReBoot universe.
The story has everything: ups, downs, twists, turns and lots of shout outs to what made the original show great. But we want to know what you think: does it work in 2D rather than 3D? Are the characters new and improved or simply re-heated and re-treated?
But before you judge, take some time to read the extensive production blog maintained by the creative team. Run by the lead writer and illustrators on the project, the blog provides a special peek inside the months-long process.
This is a very precise documentation of what went down from 2007 to the early months of 2009. You’ll be able to follow the support of the fans and see it grow, decline, and grow again. Some laughter, some tears, some triumphs and even a few lessons learned.
Technology has changed a LOT since the first run of the ReBoot television series… and we can only imagine what the wild minds of Gavin & Co would have made of MySpace, Facebook and Google.
In keeping with that trend, Rainmaker has started a Twitter account to keep everyone up to date on the latest happenings. Less formal than a press release… actually, Twitter is less formal than just about anything. But if you want to be kept in the loop, start following today.
