Sorry for the late reply. It's hard to navigate through this website.
The point level is something like this:
Level 1 - 100 pts
Level 2 - 400 pts
Level 3 - 800 pts
Level 4 - 1200 pts
Level 6 - around 2500
Level 8 - around 4100
Level 9 - around 5900
Level 10 - around 6700
In addition to getting points, you can change your title in your avatar page, such as two stars, critic, helper, etc...

Personally, I've yet to use the points. So I'll try to look into it.
